That's if you believe the death rate given to us, dying of covid opposed to with covid symptoms .Which I don't.

This also could be said for those with various flu strains to seriously ill patients especially with low immunity contracting Pneumonia which have affected far more people than covid 19.

SARS just means a zoonotic disease, meaning it was of animal origin but passed on to humans
When a new virus first emerges, people do not have immunity. In time, the immune system develops antibodies for the new virus, and these antibodies equip it to fight the resulting disease.
When swine flu (H1N1) first appeared in 2009, for example, there were concerns that a pandemic could develop. Now, it is one of the seasonal flu strains that pharmacists include in the annual flu vaccine. Many people also have immunity to H1N1.

NOTICE OF MY INTENTION TO LEAVE THE GROUP! >BFF
It may or may not be disappointing to some people to know that I have decided to leave this page, I am sick and tired of the constant criticisms and remarks about things that have nothing to do with anyone else but me. I am disappointed in several members....
Okay... So I like dressing-up in rubber clothes. So what? And, my culinary tastes might seem strange to some people... but I have a particular liking for cucumbers. Which brings me to the matter of my sexual preferences, which I know might seem strange to some people, but group sex with dwarfs, adult little people, and pygmies is only a ‘small’ perversion compared to the other matter... And the magistrate was particularly understanding when I explained that running naked through our local park wearing crotchless fluffy underwear on my head and brandishing a dildo in each hand is an ancient pagan custom and...
    Edit....
    Oh **** ! Wrong group!
Please ignore all of the above.
But since we have your attention....
Happy New Year when it comes everyone!

I wonder why we are in tier 4 lockdown? your go, 4 blank...…

Twelve people have been fined after they were caught playing dominoes in a restaurant in east London.
Police officers found the group hiding in a dark room when they entered the building in Whitechapel on Tuesday.
The owner initially claimed those inside were workers, before admitting they were playing the game.

Tower Hamlets Council has been asked to consider issuing a fine to the owner of the restaurant for breaching tier four Covid-19 restrictions, the Met said.
A video released by the Met shows the restaurant owner saying: "They're playing dominoes."

WHO EVER is the MP for this area either

I had a text message today from Track & Trace asking if I’d be prepared to donate my plasma now I’ve beaten Covid.
I’d already decided that I would do this - I owe the health service big time following my ‘adventure’ last year.
However, when I went online and completed the form it seems I’m ineligible to donate, because of the blood transfusion I had last year.
I can’t see why that makes a difference - it still beat Covid and I could help others with it.

This is just my opinion for what it's worth.
If this virus is out of control in the way we are being led to believe.

We should fully lockdown for 2 months, with the exception of front line workers and emergency services.
Vaccinate all elderly & vulnerable people and those shielding.
We come out after 2 months and get on with it!!

    Common sense or not?

You've said Covid numbers were nowhere near as bad as we were led to believe eg 'hospitals are always busy in winter' etc etc.

    'Common sense or not? '

    At last.

    There not IMO..
Coronavirus includes all strains of flu, not just covid. Clever reporting!!

But like I said...if it is that bad, the common sense would be to lockdown and vaccinate......lets see if it happens!!

    Mistakes
1: not preventing flights and boats coming into the UK from infected countries.
    2. Not starting the first lockdown early enough - and flights are STILL coming into the country unchecked.
    3. Building the nightingale hospitals at considerable expense, without realising, or ignoring that we can’t possibly staff them
    4. Failing to invest in testing facilities, meaning we don’t actually know who has the virus and who doesn’t. Even now, you aren’t allowed to get a test until you exhibit symptoms - by the time that happens you could have been contagious for over a week - and some people NEVER develop symptoms. God knows how many people are infected because of this.
    5. locking down the pubs and restaurants (responsible for 5% of the spread), whilst schools and other educational establishments (responsible for 40% of the spread) are kept open.
    6. With reference to point 4 above, keeping the country in a 9 month cycle of partial lockdown and halfway house restrictions, costing the country far more than investment in an appropriately scaled testing services.
    7. FINALLY after 9 months of slow death to the economy and 70k deaths, another full-on lockdown, which could have been avoided if we had proper testing.
    8. Red tape and ‘computer says no’ automated rules are preventing dentists and other health practitioner volunteers from assisting with the vaccination programme - despite a desperate need for them.

Sure it’s a world pandemic, but this governments response has been an utter fiasco. Thank God they weren’t in charge back in 1939.
