It is proving that the letter influenced the PL.

And this letter was sent to which clubs. The top six? It does indeed paint a murky picture of corporate blackmail at the very highest level.

Bein sports say we don’t like this. We pay your fees. So basically adhere to our demands, ask the PL to veto and we are all good...... or else.

This I have to say is the biggest indication of corruption officially in the mainstream public eye.

What it doesn’t do is give us any guaranties to a happy ending. It just just the arbitration panel food for thought.

Although what they say shouldn’t bend the rules for the o and d test. Their points are valid. The illegal streaming was there. It was in SA. But it wasn’t linked to PIF. Not directly anyways.

Gonna take some hot ass legal bastar&s to sort this **** out: meanwhile the chap looking at it is cooking bread and slicing it 80:10:10.

Legal separation is key. If thst is established and arbitration finds it, the piracy is irrelevant.

We have scratched your balls. We will scratch your back. Even that deal is borderline against the rules of bidding. Where anyone else allowed to even bid for the rights.

Hey Bein. You have asked us to “ahem” toe the line. So we will buy of course it comes at a price. Say 500m for the next round of rights.

    Deal?

    Deal?

All in favour.... Bein and PL put hands up.
    All against..........: anyone...:(snigger).......

bang sold to the only bidder on the table.

That’s where it’s very grey. Indeed Bein effectively asked for the PL to investigate every man and his dog in connection with PIF and SA and it’s inevitable there will be some crossover.

Now where’s the bread cook from
    Brighton. Or is it Fatima?

It is evidence of breach of competition law. Blackmail in some respect. Reject or else.

I agree this all does point a very large finger at wrong doing. But does it really breach competition law. All it did was stop MA selling the club to PIF. That’s a commercial transaction?

On another point, and I say this with actual grounding reasoning. Even if they (PL, top six clubs) are deemed to have acted unreasonable. What are the consequences.

For the PL? They have to allow the o and d test to stand. But PIf may be gone anyways?

For the other PL clubs? They have won already anyways what can be done to them. Naughty naughty don’t do it again?

I add Bein to the list? They have an already agreed commercial deal? They can’t lose?

I want someone to tell me I am missing something here?

Surely they can just acknowledge it, but deny anyone influenced anything?? It doesn't look good for them, but I'm hoping they've got the smoking gun which is evidence of the clubs asking for it to be blocked off the back of this letter.

Surely that would be them ****ed?

It's all corrupt ****ing madness. Ashley should be able to sell to whoever the **** he wants. The PL's job is to ensure he doesn't sell to some Mickey Mouse chancer with pretend money. The bid was backed by the wealthiest fund in the world, so it's utterly clear that BeIN blocked it out of spite (on the pretence of piracy) and that other clubs blocked it out of fear (on the pretence of piracy).

The issue is somehow proving it wasn't about piracy in the hope Saudi's still want to pay £300m for the club. I don't know if that's possible, given the PL is a private members club. Pressure would need to come from the governing body, the FA, but they have less strength/power than the Liberal Democrats.

That’s also my other concern. They can say they where not influenced at all. But the question is then what did they do with the information. Approach the other PL clubs? Is there proof?

Can anyone realistically state that the letter influenced the PL. After-all they didn’t make a decision. They just delayed it.

Finally, the PL clubs would just lean on “we have to protect our own interests so the PL where right to delve and delay”.

Im still not convinced that they can prove that the PL have done any wrong. There’s no denying they didn’t do the right thing. But......

They offered arbitration to PIF and they walked. That’s what the PL will hold on to. They will just play that card.

It’s a bit like saying to a lying toe rag. Ok you want us to accept you did nothing wrong. Right now we can’t prove it so we can’t accept your request for more. But we can offer you to play your cards..... You don’t want too. Ok brilliant. In that case **** off!

Nope. They have not come back. If they had done. They would be pushing this. Not MA.

Interesting the KSA have made a massive move in repairing the rift with Qatar by lifting a load of embargos.

Should it be of relevance, I'd love to think a letter from BeIN saying to the PL "these lads aren't so bad, let 'em in" could be on its way.

I don't think that's the case. I think the case is about what I said - that Mike is trying to say "how can you refuse my sale, when the O&D test is based on money?"

Only the PIF can bring a case about legal separation. And, believe me, KSA are not getting involved with a pissy organisation like the Premier League. Beneath them, culturally and financially. They never feel they have to prove anything to anyone. It's a huge insult. That's why I don't think they have come back.

I think Ashley's trying to get it overturned, so Staveley can go back to KSA and try again.

Agreed. It would be nice for this to be resolved. I also think this letter being released is very interesting. And oddly timed?
