Thanks Laces, I will look into those also.

Do you ever get any issues, have to stretch etc before an after, or you just hopping on?

I was thinking I could make it look like the one Gaz used from SuperGrass...

I believe we’re about the same age, so doing nothing for the rest of our days may be the solution :) if it involves beer and fine wine

You should stretch before and after any exercise. Ideally dynamic stretching *

    * do as I say, not as I always do <whistle>

I don't have to do that with the recumbent bike, no, but as Fats says, some kind of yoga/pilates regime sounds like it might help you a lot. Be careful with it though - make sure it's centred around what you can safely do. I would definitely recommend seeing a physio or osteopath first though.

Don't know if anyone has posted a link to this series before but it might be worth a listen if you have a spare 30 minutes. The aptly named epidemiologist Larry Brilliant discusses vaccine development and virus eradication with Tim Harford on 'How to Vaccinate the World'

I worked in pharmaceutical research and most volunteers fall into that age group...because you can't use children (who can't give informed consent) and don't want to use the elderly because they are more likely to have other conditions. A few deaths from whatever cause can halt a trial until you find out they died of something unrelated. The flu jab jab has to be stronger for older patients because their basal resistance is lower than the under-70s....may be true with this one too, but we won't know for a while so standard vaccination it is.

Locked down here since 15th December. Why not England surely delay = deaths. Most of my family and friends have locked themselves down not waiting for government.
"In order to ensure normal healthcare services can continue, we must take action and limit our contact with other people as much as possible. This is why the Netherlands is going into its strictest lockdown yet from 15 December until at least Tuesday 19 January. The basic rules remain the same."

But not construction and manufacturing these industries will remain open, but Ms Sturgeon said this would be kept under review.

Actually watched her press conference or whatever you want to call it. She didn't stutter or hesitate once in like 10 mins of talking. Where as boris always looks and sounds like hes just knocked back 10 tequilas and been slung off a banana boat.

When you consider the amount of money paid to educate so many of the cabinet, and in the knowledge that many of them partake in debating societies to ready themselves for public speaking, one has to question if the money for their education is being spent wisely.
But then their schooling is all about making the right contacts.

I have no idea about "actual politics" and wouldn't pretend I do, but I understood every word she said which was a pleasant suprise. When it comes to boris I may aswell be sat with a mate 10 pints deep down the boozer for all the sense it makes to me.
