I looked into this a while ago and although the rates are probably up from last year, this was expected to happen but I couldn't find anything to suggest that suicide rates were going up due to lockdown...

Neither could I specifically, despite looking at a lot of graphs and data, but that's largely because the full data is several months away from being available. These things are unlikely to follow the same trend lines as it's not a direct relationship, and they may only be an additional factor on an existing condition, but there's are quite a few indicators that suggest there is a strong potential for the impacts on mental health to manifest over the next few years, but I've seen little that suggests that steps are being made to minimise it.
