Sounds ideal. I'm in a little town surrounded by coast on one side and open moorland/heathland inland, so it's ideal for MTB. The Moors are saturated this time of year though, and the combination of mud, silt, ground down granite dust and water is like grinding paste for my drive train. Summer is loads easier as the trails are dust dry and you can bomb around and cover loads more miles. I've never really got into road riding, I can see the appeal for fitness, but part of it for me is about going off to explore new places that you can't get to in a car etc.
You couldn’t hold your own if your life depended on it lad, you’d be reachin for your two jokes inside 10 minutes.
Cycling was quite tempting until Piskie started calling it MTB so it’s the exercise bike in front of the tv for me.
My mate has one of those electric bike things. Said it came with a restricter on it and was capped at 22mph but he’s managed to get that off so now reckons it goes up to 65/70mph. Might go along to see him go over a couple of jumps on the ****er for the lols
love some new kit to fit. did my own Di2 upgrade last year, thinking of a clutched rear mech for MTB. Less slap when going over rougher stuff, not the best groupset in my current bike.
love to see how that goes to 50mph plus. Know you can hack the software as seen Naomi YouTube vids. But 50 on a push bike is crazy.
Yeah I've got a clutched rear mech. Still need a chain guard on the chain stay though. What sort of MTB riding do you do ? Round here is mainly tracks/bridleways with a few boulders coast path sections. So plenty of opportunity for chain slap. Got a wicked bike park about 40 miles away, 8 mile loop, full bermed corners, pump track and a few jumps. I don't go nuts on the jumps though, as I'll probably stack it and break my wrists. Being self employed means no work = no pay
No idea, thing cost over £10k I think so guess it’s one of the better ones. He’s probably been to the pub on it a couple of times since he’s bought it which is a 5 minute walk from his house anyway.
See loads of blokes on those e-bikes. I can see the appeal if you're an older bloke with ****ed knees and ****. If it still allows you to get out there, then it's a good thing. Boils my piss when some 30 something goes steaming past me on the uphill sections on one though
paths and trails. Ladybower is about 30 mins so lots of trails depending on skill level and can also pick up trans pennine trail. Not enough skill/talent for bike park stuff above the odd bump
Sounds like him, except he’s in his 20s. He’s the ultimate fad mate though, we all have one. Remember him buying a Harley with 200 miles on it because he watched an episode of Sons of Anarchy. Sold it a year later with 230 total miles on it
