I'm glad to see you can read. Pity you don't engage the brain or perhaps you do but the message gets lost in the blue fog you live in. Do you understand what a tense is? If not here's a simple explanation . Past tense means you are describing something that has happened already. Present tense you are talking about what is happening now. I did not say they have never worked in the real world. I said (ok implied) that they would not survive long if they committed howler after howler which even you have conceded they are guilty of at this time. Has that very simple point penetrated?

Sir John Bell being interviewed on GMB being very reassuring over the vaccine issue of delaying the second jabs.
I feel I should trust his reassurance that a single jab is plenty good enough till the second one is given.

    Who is john bell?
I personally would be reassured if the makers of the vaccine confirmed as such.

How can schools be safe (according to Johnson) yet be shut in London? At the same time they are being told to stay open in other Tier 4 areas?

It wouldnt be much to ask at all to see the evidence behind such a decision. Infact, it would be hugely reassuring. Unless the evidence is just in Johnsons mind, like his confidence in them being perfectly safe.

    I think so yes.
He said that one dose will prevent any serious illness in most people, meaning you may still get a fever and cough, but won't end up in hospital.
That's the point as I understand it, to not over run the NHS with serious illness.

In my opinion, all teachers and pre-school/nursery workers should be among the first to get the jab.
This would mean kids could get their education and their parents could try to go to work.

I fear that the historically militant tendencies of the teachers' unions has led to continuous confrontation between the government and teachers.
However, that shouldn't prevent the government from prioritising the vaccination of education staff.

Right. I'm not going to pretend I know much about it to be honest. Again, I'm sure they will have ran trials on this, although I cant see how they will have had time. Suppose it all depends on how long the first jab lasts for. I'm sure they have data they will produce to show.

I was saying something similar to the sister in law (nurse with vulnerable & elderley). Front line staff (teachers included now) should be the first to get vaccinated. To me that's just common sense.

Of course neither of us know much about it mate.
I'm willing to trust an expert like him, unless I see evidence to the contrary.

I suppose we have to put our trust in someone, sometime. It would be beneficial and reassuring to all, to see the data and evidence to prove so.

During this pandemic, one major flaw in our reaction has been a lack of any evidence based decisions. That's where the trust is lost/gained.
