Yes they bottled it and you made them look what they are, I don't get how Sunderland supporters can join in a concerted effort to discredit a fellow supporter especially when the information you and others were sharing about the takeover turned out to be as accurate possible without being directly involved with negotiations. We might not all agree all of the time but surely we all want the same end result.
He really is full of his own self importance and when you look at his twitter page he mentions about being featured in When Saturday Comes, The Economist, and 442 magazine along with his regular podcast stuff. It positions him as and influential fans spokesman, so any journalist coming across that will give him a lot more credit than he really deserves. He's turning into a makem Steve Wraith. When you see that bit that you've highlighted it really comes across as arrogant. What gives him the right to assume he knows what's going on and what's best for our club? He's not on the board, owns no shares, isn't employed by them or have any influence with them.
With the help of Grumpy I could easily put myself up as a spokesman for the supporters. But I'm not an attention seeking dick who thinks he knows best about everything ... ... and I have trouble looking at everything through shyte-tinted glasses.
Could well be. Why would investors with no links to football really want to buy a team they've no connection or affiliation to? Would you buy a house to renovate and sell on or take a rental yield if you thought there was too much risk.
Agreed, I usually like listening to the WMS podcasts but they’ve had that tool Weatherspoon on there too much for my liking lately. He seems to revel in the fact he’s “not on their (Donald, Methven) Christmas card list”. I also read what he said about Rodwell needing to be sacked by February or nothing will have changed which I thought and still think is an utterly ridiculous thing to say. He has a very bloated opinion of himself, he needs to realise that he’s not important and that nobody really gives a **** about his opinions.
That's just reminded me of something from politics years ago. A newspaper political correspondent or editor who made a big thing about provoking Alister Campbell into nearly hitting him in the mid 90's. He seems to be getting the same kick out of annoying those two, but just makes him a limited one trick pony, the "Anti-Donald". Long term it could damage both his and WMS's reputations, as they might only be seen to have a negative, anti club hierarchy agenda. Which might mean less engagement from the club not just with them, but other fan groups. There is already enough journalists, newspapers, media groups and so on out there that hate us that they'll happily pick up on something negative to give us a kicking without tools like him feeding them even more, particularly if it's undeserved and un-necessary. The best he can do is to wind his neck in and sit down and let things take their course. Give out grief when it's required, but also give some credit when it's due and accept when you're wrong. Sadly I don't think he will, I thi k he like the sound of his own voice too much and his ego s getting bigger.

Takeover talk seems to have gone off track lately , no pressure Smug but do your Sunday snippet phone calls still come through over the seasonal period , we need glimmers of hope to start off the new year - anything going on?
The only news I've had is about Newcastle which is that the Saudis are still interested and their £17m deposit will still stand if it goes through. The HMRC have asked for paperwork from 6 years previous to their original enquiries.
Sorry mate, someone was asking me the gist of my Sunday chat with someone who gets regular football gossip ... ... I wouldn't have posted if I'd thought it would upset someone. Won't make that mistake again. ...
Lay off Smug he has been very informative for many years , SAFC supporters don’t mind info about TheMags particularly when they lose again or things aren’t going as well as they would want - long may it continue!
I lose track mate. I try not to hold grudges so I forget some posters tbh ... ... we're all supposed to be in this leaky boat together.
