Back at work tomorrow so, given the 'festivities' are over, time to bump this.

Going for a long walk today, a run tomorrow and starting to work off the Christmas bulk.

    Gyms still closed though so.........

Good on you dude you got more go in you than I have in myself....... Think I done all my running early in life..... Not done Nowt for thirty years now...... I used to love training and the feeling of pushing myself to new boundaries in body and mind.

These days I just walk the mountains around me with my dogs for views and enjoy a fat spliff or so.

Happy healthy new year dude.... Enjoy

Reckon I've put 2-3kg on over December.

Waiting to get the drive train swapped out on my bike. Internet is great for ordering stuff until it doesn't turn up ! Should have that sorted soon enough though and plan to go on some big 20 mile off roaders once my daughter is back at school.

In the meantime, I'm using the pool which is still open at my local golf club and walking the dog. Will get back in the surf once it straightens itself out too.

We've managed to go for a walk with the dog just about every day through the 'holiday' including Xmas day ... ranges from about 3.5 - to 7 miles depending on localised flooding and our appetite for it on the day ... but always feels very good to know you've done it and less guilty when you crack open a beer after <cheers>

Put a couple of kilos on but I was the lightest I’ve been for a long time a week or so before Xmas so not too bad.

Much harder to motivate myself to do anything this time round with the gyms probably closed until at least Easter and the **** weather but half the battle is just doing something and not beating yourself up if you do 5km rather than the 10 you were doing in June or whatever. Think the routine of work will make it easier to force myself to train before even if it’s not getting light until gone 8.

More important as always is eating right which is harder at this time of year I think.

    Good luck friends.

I'm seriously thinking of knocking the beer on the head this year. I like a couple of beers on a sat eve after work, kind of a wind down for the end of the week. But to be honest, even a couple these days leaves me feeling jaded the next day.

Would rather get an early night and be up at at em' the next day tbh.

Good news though. Just heard an ad for new Budweiser Zero so that’s a fun calorie swap for the heavier drinkers amongst you right there.

I like a beer when watching footie and a glass of wine with a meal ... middle girl turns 21 this month so won't be knocking it on the head until then ... but we tend to give it a complete break after that through the whole of Feb and well into March (aim always Easter) ... good to give the liver a rest and also save a fookin fortune <yikes>

**** that **** bro. Don't really see the point of drinking zero alcohol beer. Not saying I only drink beer to get pissed, but I generally only drink beer to get pissed. <ok>

I was joking. Sounds like terrible water. Imagine asking a decent looking barmaid for a pint of it.
