I would imagine psychologically it might be too much for primary age to take in and could do more harm than good for the kids which I’m sure the teachers are well aware. how many teachers at your school have had it Cortez?
So if a change is needed in guidance then the union's should bring that to the table, not threaten industrial action?
Who says they haven't already tried that approach? And given the Education Secretary threatening to sue schools, I'm not surprised at all if the unions are being equally hostile in response.
We’re really lucky in that we’ve had no cases at all. Next nearest school to us was hit hard before Christmas and had 4 bubble closures and several members of staff off. Less than a mile away. Pot luck.
They’ve been trying to get it changed without striking for months. At what point should they try harder? The onset of a variant with a much higher infection rate and proven spread in school aged kids seems a reasonable time to me
No they’re not (I don’t think...I only came for the 5 minute argument so haven’t actually read anything other than one here)
I didn’t say that I said it was spreading in them not killing them. They tend to shake symptoms off...but that doesn’t mean they’re not spreading it. All the ones I see walking home in big gangs in their school uniforms must all get dressed up and meet up after online school presumably?
IF teachers have been instructed not to wear masks(there's some conflict with that being the case or not and that's 4 or 5 of us having a general discussion on a Saturday night),then that needs to be addressed immediately.IF discussion has been taking place and IF that discussion has proved unfruitful then that needs to be addressed immediately also. I pointed out earlier in this thread that I don't have a beef with teachers being concerned,I would be too!! But I have concerns about guns being held to heads and the impact that could have on the working population who rely on education as a means for them to work and contribute.I don't think it unreasonable to ask for a common sense approach in working this out to everyone's satisfaction....It's not politics,it's striving for a way forward.
Dunno I’m watching boxing I understand Google is a popular place to find stuff out Anyway my point wasn’t about what has happened, it’s about what can happen with the new strain (mostly prevalent in under 19s)
Thank you , you just reminding me its only saturday night , thought I was at work in 6 hours ... genuine thanks
