We ain’t going up this season if we don’t find a way to manipulate the wage cap and spend cap and get a goal scorer. The forwards are an absolute waste of space, we all know it. The lack of pace is tiresome to watch.
To be fair though he has been feeding on scraps since he came here - our creativity from midfield is absolutely zero.
Typical sunderland...everytime you teally looking forward to the game it end up crap!! realistic summary - poor bobbly pitch, ref wasnt the best, we look like a side that havent been playing games, hoped we were going to grind scrap game out for a win but we couldn't....disappointed....we move on, hopefully get few decent signings in January & kick start. Can see fair few more games being called off & possibly a mini suspension of football which might play into our hands if we can get the right players through the door & can manage the fixture backlog better than others....fingers crossed
We should be looking at League One and 2 top scorers and blowing their club out the water, even if it’s a player we move on again in summer. We’ve got to get over the line this season, to be that far behind ****ing Lincoln is an absolute disgrace and just hammers home the ineptitude of the soon to be former owners and there retaining of Parkinson. We bought **** on top of **** and we aren’t a promotion side, if we are to get there it’s gonna take magic from Johnson and a miracle in personnel. Ill say right now if we stay down I won’t turn on Johnson, he’s been handed the task of getting a cruise ship over the Atlantic with a ****ing Dyson motor for an engine. We’ve some promising young talent but the first team squad is nothing short of an absolute disgrace, and that is Donald. It’s all on him.
On a different thread I said it was vital that we hit the ground running , we had as much bite as the gummi brothers , that performance was not what we needed . The adage of win your home games get a point away does not apply as things stand we have to be putting a winning run together or we will remain stuck in the middle of the league .
Too many balls going back to defence ala pp, the midfield need to look forward or bring the ball forward when they get it. I don’t mind it going back if it gives us a better position but it doesn’t, all it does is slow the game down and let them regroup defensively. I thought after the Lincoln game we had it sussed and would continue in same vein
I hear that mate I was buzzing for the game it was around 12 minutes or so in when we stopped looking quite sharp and you just knew nothing was happening.
As soon as we kicked off I though 'Oh dear', tbh ... ... we looked like we'd stepped out of intensive care into recovery. Disappointed but I'll forgive them tbh.
Wyke reminds me of Kenwyne Jones, he's good in our box defending corners and free kicks but not as effective in their box, He is as weak as water up top, he rarely get's across his man without fouling him, and even with the ball into him with his back to goal his marker's just brush him aside to get in front of him.
The ref and the passing today were shocking, we better spend now or it is curtains. Can any of these players actualy find wykes feet in the penalty area ? that was shocking, why keep taking the ball to the right or left of the goal, instead of going direct and too slow to the ball etc etc. That cross by Mcgeady is one that should have been put away, to think we beat Lincoln 4-0 3 weeks ago.
I pray the new owner isn't told the main forum for Sunderland supporters is this shyte ,,, ... https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/piss-take-party.1538187/
Having had time to reflect I thought the pitch was unfit for purpose, the officials were inconsistent and overall poor, Northampton were time wasting at home, we looked tired and probably not match fit and our passing was poor and tbf the lads only returned to training on Tuesday so I’m calling a bad day at the office but as many have said we need to pull a few rabbits out of hats this window or we could be looking at another season in this ****hole of a division
Really disappointed with the performance today, difficult pitch, ****e ref didn't help but I still thought we were way off the pace required if we are to challenge at the top. Simple passes went astray and no threat up top. In a way I'm glad LJ and and Speakman are getting their eyes opened with the rest of the window to go to try and sort it out but it needs to change sharpish. Still optimistic for the future but **** loads of work to do with this squad.
