I see Gina Miller has finally accepted Brexit. She's said 'we must move on, divided countries don't prosper'.

Lansdown divided BCFC 4 years ago knowing the 'baggage' that came with LJ.
Some still hanker for LJ citing we're no better, others say Holden needs the same backing as LJ enjoyed.

I'm afraid the rift at BCFC will take a lot longer to heal.
    If ever.

Problem I'm seeing is not only are we not progressing from past seasons, the brand of football hasn't changed for the better either which IMO is a concern.
Grinding out results to gain position is understandable, playing fast attacking football, changing style with fewer points might also be understandable.......But at this moment in time, I'm not seeing either..
Deano/Ashton has the opportunity to bring in players to show what we are looking to achieve along with the style of football that is being dished up.

I Don't really care about some of the hatred and negative comments aired on here at LJ, the fact is he contributed immensely, enabling us to compete in the championship for the last 4 years an achievement in itself that some find difficult to acknowledge......but facts are facts!!

The club parted company with the coach that gave us that success to enable for us to progress further. Surely this is where we all reserve our judgement.
Deano is not new at the club and was well aware of what was required.....So no excuses, regarding time, injuries, squad, Covid or the colour of the sky....he needs to get on with it!!

The lacking of acknowledgement from the haters of what LJ achieved would be a start!! :emoticon-0127-lipss

........ Just like Cameron divided the nation 4 years ago with a ridiculous, over-simplistic ‘In/Out’ referendum you mean? Then brazenly walked away when he didn’t get the result he was expecting.
Some things will take years to recover from. I’m sure our little LJ rift at BS3 will be behind us far sooner than the Brexit fallout.

I beg to differ, he stated he was not going to see out his term when he got re-elected, would see the Brexit vote through and step aside for someone else...…. he pretty much did just that, had it been the other way, we voted to stay, he would have left maybe a few months later …..

the bitterness runs very deep and you will never get that, even a lot of the " its water under the bridge comments" come with a provisio reflecting "their hate /bitterness " albeit a lot more tempered now!
I did not want to see him go, thought it was unfair timing, I did root for DH [had a bet on him, only small] I believe SL / MA also gambled and so far the grand national of a race to the prem has made it to the 5th fence! with some unfortunate luck almost falling, avoiding the loose horses and going the longway round!

The football is exactly the same as for the past 2 years, there is absolutely no difference.

Weak, slow, predictable and totally non creative in midfield, resulting incredibly few chances and incredibly few shots on or off target and most of the shots on target most of our wives would save.

    It's same old same old.

Again I find it strange that you talk about hatred, I don't see that but funnily enough I did see hatred on the Pulis thread.

Out of the past 10 managers of BCFC I have only been happy with 2 of the appointments, Danny Wilson and Gary Johnson, but I have fully supported every last one of them until it was obvious that the game was up and with every single one of that the game was most certainly up when they were sacked or in Coppell's case walked away.

Even if true that is one person, you a several others are making it seem like there are legions of haters on here, which just not true. One even used the term bigot.

As I said I saw the same on the Pulis thread and that is rank hypocrisy.

Butter it up all you like.

The football under DH is mind numbing.
Worse than LJs by a country mile.

DH said he was going to bring front foot attacking football.
I must be going mad as all I see is sideways and backwards football.
DH has all the backing from the top brass-but I really don’t see how progressing along the same road as LJ was going to bring success.
Clearly he was sacked because it was not working, So how does employing DH improve it.

That is a very good comparison, I disliked Pulis, really disliked him intensely but have to admit he has qualities, I don't feel the same way about LJ, he is just boring, anonymous, done nothing, achieved nothing, someone else said it on here, he built our team in his own image, they were correct.

No butter exactly the same, absolutely no difference at all, you only have to look at the stats especially from February onwards, didn't we go 2 or 3 games without even registering a shot of any kind?

And also every time we had an injury that became the latest excuse for him, well he has never had injuries like we have now and me I still think it's no excuse for the crap that was and is being served up.

I blame the dysfunctional transfer policy and LJ and Holden failing to strengthen midfield and wing back positions, something that has been a glaring problem for 4 years.

Sorry don't agree with either statement, I don't know Pulis or LJ but I know 2 people who are acquainted with Pulis and LJ did stabilise us as a championship side and brought in technology and other things that improved us. His failing was in 4 years he built a midfield in his own image as a player, weak and then spent over 4 mil on a striker even Stevie Wonder would have known will fail because we have absolutely nobody at all who could supply him with chances.

Lacking the acknowledgement of being the one coach in 40 years to keep us in the championship longer than any previous managers!!

That was part 1 of his brief, he failed in part 2.

There you ago we don't agree on Pulis or LJ but that don't make us haters does it, of course not, we just have different opinions, I don't think large flat screens or drones will improve the skill of players, just make them better informed.
