Suppose it could be viewed as better than slappers board?

I thought I'd follow the lead of all those FC and KR fans who decided to support a football club from another city as the local one wasn't doing well. So I was a Wigan fan for quite a while. Now I switch between St Helens and Leeds Rhinos.

I've just watched Calendar who did a brief article on the Super Sunday thing, what a bunch of deformed and moronic looking monkies! You'll be right in thinking I've never been to a Rugby match. Also I know footballers arn't the brightest looking bunch but listening to the odd FC player speak today it left me thinking that this egg chasing lot are from a different gene pool :)

Anyway reason for the post, will the attendance be affected this weekend?

Bought glories? FC and Rovers were responsible for the escalation of RL transfer fees in the late 70's/early 80's, at one time having the world record fees paid for players.

For the match here at the KC tomorrow i would not predict a drop in attendance.
Do not feel supercilious about this as one sport is not any better than another only if you have your blinkers on tight
It is sad that you feel the need to make comments about fans and players of another sport in the way you have, but, it only shows you in the light that you were casting on them

I didn't say I don't think that people can enjoy more than one sport. I myself will watch a bit of tennis, snooker, boxing and basketball when its on. I also have a decent general knowledge about F1 (although it bores the hell out out of me). All I said was rugby league is a second rate sport, which is a variation of proper rugby (which is also a lesser sport than football, although not as much as league) and is all Americanised with its silly franchises and the fact it calls itself rugby league FOOTBALL. I don't understand why the sport has to incorporate the name of a proper sport into it for it to have a fan base. Besides if I wanted to go watch a game of rugby, I'd watch stoke.

Okay Matt, i will accept your point of view, even if Americanised style of franchises has already raised its head in footy, and it is good to see you supporting the smaller rugby teams.
Just as an add on, if you do like your union and have sky have a look at s4c

FC when they play Rovers, but other than that I couldn't give a ****.
PS. League isn't that interesting, and it still ****s on the farce of a sport known as Rugby Union - a.k.a Professional Penalty Kicking.

Well by my name, it is obiously the Robins for me, and I personally value them just as much as I do City and how anyone could watch 80 minutes of Union I don't know, but if that is their preferred code to League then it's their opinion I guess.

I used to think that way about League but once you have been in the Well and felt the vibes it just like being on the terraces of Ibrox
