This knee business has been played out now. How long does this go on for? .?...... ..... How about a new one for the N.H.S staff..... Both BLACK and WHITE ........ These people work to SAVE lives of ALL coloured people, and not to cause any trouble and DIVISION..............So what about it? What if players stood upright, with arms outstretched in front of them, palms up for about 10 to 15 seconds. No division in that, but is that asking too much of this present society? How people have changed, but I will not give the knee, never mind what some of you may think.
Scared to be called an ist if dont comply so virtue signalling on overdrive imo for the likes of this !
I think you have nailed exactly how I feel, I also find distasteful the fist in the air as a power salute. Just my views. But good open anti racist initiatives have been sidelined
So here's that pair outside the Liberty with their 5W flags stating that "Jacks kneel for nobody " - they are on twitter obviously https://twitter.com/murderbaycasual Pie n Mash Swansea. West Wales Fascism and Pie Enthusiasts. If everyone taking the knee is an apparent supporter of Yusra Khogali and her bile, then anyone against taking the knee is obviously a fascist aren't they ?
Trouble is you’ll get knobs on both end of the cause taking it to the extreme for their own political gain. The knee and BLM simply started to show that Black Lives Matter equally to white - and I don’t think anyone can argue that. By having brain dead ‘fans’ like that hijacking the cause it makes it seem the club and community is not united for that very simple message.
Exactly. So what was/is wrong with the "kick it out" campaign? Is that not enough? Is it not obvious enough. The taking the knee is ludicrous. It's becoming pantomime.

Well. Well, Well, ...... who would have guessed. ........... How much are they giving to the Natioal Health .
The slogan is fine and no one would disagree, the organisation is a totally different thing in my view. Any organisation who has one of its main aims as defunding the police has to be looked at more closely before using their name in name of equality.
I listened to it last night on catchup , painful to listen to at times . They don't speak on behalf of me or my Club
Defunding the police is directly from the American issues and there can be no arguments that the USA pours ludicrous amounts of money into their police force instead of against root cause (rather than education/social care.) As there is no official organisation/hierarchy for BLM (which can be a good thing as it's a community lead movement), it means that statements like defunding the police can be co-opted by Uk demonstrators which is a more nuanced issue as we do have free education and social care (although it's funding is being slashed year on year) it's still worth examining. @Taffvalerowdy - that call in guy was very eloquent and highlights the fear that's very present of this underlying nastiness present in society.
Whilst they were outside the stadium, they appeared to be in the car park - which the Club controls via the lease from the Council. They don’t speak for me and they don’t speak for the Club
https://blacklivesmatter.com/about/ I see your source of information is from the Guardian itself not exactly a balanced exponent of the truth shall we say .As to it having "no official organisation/hierarchy " then I suggest you do a little more research as to having no political agenda this taken from their Gofundme page earlier this year UKBLM FUND Share The organiser has disabled new donations to this fundraiser at the moment. Who we are. Black Lives Matter UK (BLMUK) is a coalition of black activists and organisers across the UK. We’ve been organising since 2016 for justice in our communities. We’re guided by a commitment to dismantle imperialism, capitalism, white-supremacy, patriarchy and the state structures that disproportionately harm black people in Britain and around the world. We build deep relationships across the diaspora and strategise to challenge the rise of the authoritarian right-wing across the world, from Brazil to Britain. We’re developing new and exciting ways of organising that centre transparency, accountability, safety and healing for our organisers and our communities. BLMUK organises in the black radical tradition, using political education, direct action and political leadership toward black liberation. Our commitment to all black lives means that we lift up the experiences of the most marginalised in our communities, including but not limited to working class queer, trans, undocumented, disabled, Muslim, sex workers, women/non-binary, HIV+ people. Nothing can be done without resource in the climate we live in. These donations are to support UKBLM’s work with black communities across the UK. This is an evolving fund to support black life against institutional racism and enable radical reminaging/knowledge production from within our communities.
