One supporter of the little Scotch Club has let himself down badly,,,, Alex does not deserve this Very sad
If Dyer is not good enough as a manager get rid of him, but never resort to racism. On the wider point, for a country that Sturgeon always claims is so welcoming & tolerant, Scotland does have a remarkably small black population compared to other Western countries. Perhaps incidents like this explain why. It doesn’t help that the SNP and it’s followers openly perpetrate racism every day - albeit against the English.
Correct. I spent a lot of time in Kilmarnock over the last few years and the English are hated with a passion.
Being overtly anti - English has become the only acceptable form of racism - particularly in Scotland. Anyone who doubts it should have a quick look at SNP social media - deluged with references over Xmas to Coronavirus being the “English virus” and urging Police Scotland to turn away English people at the border. Never once repudiated by Sturgeon or SNP MPs. The hypocrisy is staggering - as Sturgeon (a very unpleasant woman) herself declared that Trump was a racist for using the phrase “Chinese virus”.
I'm going to give this thread a miss, except to say that Dyer has been very popular at Kilmarnock by all accounts.
Sovereign independence for Scotland is the reason the SNP exists. That's hardly going to be achieved by being Pro-English or friendly with England, is it. Nicola Sturgeon should back up her attitude with action and close the border. But the SNP needs the support of a large number of moderate Scots (decent, middle-of-the-road folk) in order to carry a referendum win. There's nothing wrong as such with wanting Independence for your country. Just be mindful of the motivations of the people who want to lead you to it.
She hasn't got any power to 'close the border' There's nothing wrong with wanting independence but there's everything wrong with inciting racism to achieve your objectives. Surely?
I wasn't aware she has no authority to close the border. Nationalism and being anti-foreign are difficult areas to define in terms of going too far - straying into racism or xenophobia. Parallels could be drawn between Scotland withdrawing from the UK, and the UK withdrawing from the EU. No need to go into details on that, but there are some similarities. During the 1990's I went on holiday to Scotland many times, and never felt unwelcome ever. I hope that has not changed in the last 20 years.
Whats the problem there ? I can’t imagine he’s got much depth in his squad. They get 3,500 attendances ....their fans need to be realistic
2-0 up. If you want to get an idea of the fans views, have a look at the Kilmarnock Twitter feed. They had doubts about the team but are solidly behind Dyer. He's been at the club 4 years, and it's not too long ago he was talking about the number of times he was getting stopped in the street by well-wishers.

Didn't you watch our most recent clash with Plymouth Elfs? During the match I recall you making several posts that indicated you could see what was going on...
