Thank you, my sister will step aside if it means someone else can get one. Its the way she is. I pray every day she is safe and can't imagine the stress she is under at the minute. I text every day to tell her I'm proud of her but it's doesn't seem enough. I read a lot on other forums of people not believing the reports, calling it exaggerated etc but I just hope enough decent people pay attention and follow the rules.

hope you have managed an Aussie accent by now dangerous if you don't mate im miles away wish i could do or say something to help really scary at the moment going on, its pathetic here only 5% hospital beds in this area and you must pay part of your stay you get 28 days and it cost 250 euros but then free after that i had i stay for 8 days the kept me in for nowt and when i got home there was a bill for over 100 euros .

Mate our nhs is the envy of the world, my eldest daughter wouldn't be alive but for them. I get frustrated at people who see what's happening, the fact 3 trusts have declared major incidents and still they persist with the bullshit. I remember 30 odd years ago a soldier (Andrew mudd?) had his legs blown off in a terrosit attack, he was at my dad's hospital recovering and there was a bomb scare. My dad was I'm charge of nursing services so he did what he had to do and removed all the nurses from itu and sat with Mr Mudd making sure he was safe and stable while the nurses looked after others. Why did he do it? Because he had to keep him safe and had a duty to protect his staff and the other patients and wouldn't ask anyone to do something he wouldn't do. My sister had the same mentality and is there as I type on the ground helping fight this horrible virus. And if the person lying on the bed in front of her doesn't belive Covid is real or doesn't believe nurses earn every single penny of their monet she will not flinch or bat an eyelid, she will give them the best. Sorry for the ramble and in no way aimed at you, but I hope people read your post and mine and realise the human side to this pandemic

nice read and from the heart i love the health service and cant wait to settle up here and get back home, Europe wont help you if you have no dosh unless you are an asylum seeker as its written in the constitution they must help but their fellow Germans can only get emergency treatment if you need long term care its tough titty whilst i was told that i know i cant make an appointment anywhere docs dentist opticians without my healthcare id card
i agree mate and the house of lords anarl, i read they are on 375 a day i think, need to check, and even want a pay rise cheeky twats all they do is straight to the bar or fall asleep i also read they have subsidised champers normally 160 but 50 in their bar discounted by the tax payer don't get me on about the expenses, and all this why people struggle, you cant blame the ones that cheat the system as all of them do
