i think i have asked this before but no young kids in the reserves who could step up against the "weaker" sides?
dragon we don't know the reason why buck pulled off britton and dyer, usually if a player has a twinge or a bit under the weather then the players named will know they will be subbed at a certain time in the game to protect the player and protect the team for a more winnable game. managers in all clubs take players off for one reason or another whether playing well or not, don't forget we were playing Chelsea a game we were second best and for Brendan to bring these players off was more than likely a safety precaution and nothing else..it happens all the time and the fans don't understand why....Brendan and his staff know exactly what they are doing and why they are doing it.....
Think you're right with your last two posts, Dai. You're making a habit of it! Dragon: "Regarding Stoke, I think we will be lucky to get a draw, and the only other outcome I could see would be a Stoke win" Well let's hope your assessment is as accurate as it was for the Chelsea game.
We have had 3 very tough away matches to start and if you discount those, then we have done very well. I think people are placing far too much emphasis on us losing to Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea. That's not the way to judge our season. We will probably lose to most of the top six, so we should concentrate on what we get against the other teams. So 3 clean sheets and unbeaten at home is pretty good. Some will say we should have beaten Sunderland and Wigan, but we can't we every game and neither can anyone else. Man U should have beaten Stoke, but that's football. So far I think we are doing ok, but it's too early to tell. It's where we are at the end of the season that counts. Have some faith. We can still finish top 10.
aber hendrix and dai joplin doing a duet - we are the champions with the dulcet tones of jager mercury in the background
Well who knows? that's where we are right now and we've had some very tough away games against top teams.
4 more points in October , including our first away points , will make October a " Do " . It will lead us into a tough November where I would be pleased with 1 or 2 points from 3 games , from United , Liverpool & Villa . Then begins " Do or Die " phase 2 in December where were " All in " with 6 games against more equal teams . By the time the transfer window opens we'll have a pretty good idea whether were staying up IMO
Breezy will you have split loyalties when we play liverpool ? would love us to beat them to be honest but can't see it realistically

a very satisfactory October in my book. the norwch and to a certain degree the wolves match that let us down....still i would have taken 7 points before October started....
Ah a thread resurected from the dead!! DO indeed folks!! though doesnt 7 pts now seem disapointing ? Wolves may come back to haunt us im afraid, Norwich was a non performance from us . Our home form is keeping us in with a shout of survival ,how many from November then? i reckon we will get a point at anfield
. From 3 games ... 0 points in November , possible ... 1 or 2 points in November , probable , ... 3 points in November , able ... 4 or more points in November , Christmas came early !
