You do realise we get hit with tariffs, if the EU doesn't like any law changes we make?

You do realise that's a two way street and subject to independent arbitration, don't you?

I've seen little if any evidence to support the first two words of that.

Blackford says that "Scotland is European and it doesn't end today".
Did he think somebody was saying anything different?

A better question would be 'why did he get one in the first place?'

    FTFY.

If it helps, there's very similar arrangements for any trade deal, it's just kind of how these things work.

Is it usual for matters agreed between our ministers and the trading partner to automatically amend UK law without Parliament being involved?

It's come to pass by legislation put forward by the current Government.

So you now say Parliament was involved then. There are also checks and balances, so whatever point you were hoping to imply fails, and that's before applying the same rational to the EU. <doh>

I asked a simple question. You made an unrelated point. I've only just found this thread but I see your style of posting hasn't changed.
What checks and balances? The Bill says that ministers can even amend the act itself?

I made a direct comment which showed your feeble attempt at implication was wrong. Your own response confirms it.

If you could manage a reasoned conversation, you may turn out to actually be interesting, but as it is, you just try to push some peculiar agenda in the hope of 'winning', which is very dull.

Don't try your usual tedious wriggles and questions. Explain yourself better. What were you trying to say in those initial burblings of yours?

That it isn't appropriate for the UK Parliament to be given the choice of no deal OR giving unprecedented powers to Ministers to make law with no Parliamentary oversight.

In what way is there no Parliamentary oversight? Don't you think that was included when Parliament Approved the initial Bill?

In what way do you see that as different to many elements of what we've left behind with the EU?
