If as expected we restart our season against Northampton on Saturday we must be on our game and bring the three points home . Anything less could see us falling well and truly off the promotion pace , Lee Johnson will have to ensure that any players in the team are fit and raring to go bearing in mind the complications that Covid has been shown to have so his team selection is crucial as we can’t carry passengers .HAWAY THE LADS !!!
On paper we should win but how 'fit' can we be with 13 positive cases, including all 3 keepers; and the training ground having to close down. Can't see the season lasting long tbh.
Depends how many of those 13 cases were players. Every report I've seen suggests it's "players and staff"
There were 13 players positive but not all of them showed symptoms - which probably means the rest of the squad will have it now, unless they have already had it of course. Lee Johnson: "First and foremost, our three goalkeepers have all tested positive. So that leaves us in a bit of a pickle, depending on how we recover.” "One in particular has struggled quite a lot and the health and wellbeing of a player has to be at the front of any decision that is made.”
Typical Sunderland. I lived in Northampton for 12 years. Not once did the club think about me during that time. Never thought to get themselves relegated to League 1 or League 2 so I could go and watch them at Sixfields. Then I leave the country and they get relegated then. No consideration for the fans.
