I think it was Ristac who posted that he would be happy with a draw, so would I. I never expected to wake up to a 5-0 win, it must have been some game.
I thought Dallas played as well as the next man myself, Pablo gave the ball away late on and we were lucky to go unpunished. I felt Shackleton was the best of the subs and I thought Raphinha deserved a higher score than those three subs so we’re a bit apart on how we viewed this game tonight .
We might not get a more important back to back win this season. After being stuffed by Man U we beat two teams who are expected to be in the bottom 5 and we keep two clean sheets. Two big 6 pointers so we can now enjoy ourselves against Spurs
Dallas had a decent last 20 minutes. Prior to that he had more unforced errors than I have seen him have previously. I really like Dallas but wasn't his night tonight. He still ran his arse off trying though which is commendable. Also, when Pablo gave the ball away it was an under hit pass from Dallas that put him under pressure. As for Raphinha I understand exactly what you are saying. As I said, 7 might be harsh. He just looks so good that i think he should be having an even greater influence on games. I know that sounds daft as he scored a fantastic goal. He just goes missing sometimes for stretches of the game. He is a victim of his own talent. I actually agree that in isolation his performance might have deserved an 8 or more but I just think he has so much more to give. The boy is a real talent and is the one we will end up looking to to win us games. I just want to see more of him.
I noticed more today than I’ve noticed in previous matches how the team take small breaks when in possession. I’ve a feeling Rodrigo and Raphinha are not quite on the same page with this tactic. There was one very clear passage of play in the second half where the back four were playing it simple, one of them had a very clear forward pass on but never took it. Another 4-5 passes went on then suddenly Phillips pinged it forward to Alioski and we were off again. Alioski knew the pass was coming, he’d started to make his move a second earlier.
Just got in, looks like I missed the fun! No surprises from Sr Bielsa he just plays his best available team, doesn't rest or rotate, this is maybe wiser than it seems, how many teams come unstuck when resting players? Any highlights would be much appreciated. MOT.
We scored some great goals tonight but for me the jewel in the crown was Harrisons. I don't know how many passes we had to open them up but it was Bielsaball at it's best.
Not often I disagree with you mate but the last 3 seasons 34 and 35 points have been safety. So I reckon another 12 points from 22 games will be enough. At the moment we are averaging 1.43 points per game and if we do the same in the last 22 matches we will get 54 points. But in realty to get 35 points we only need to average half a point per game for the last 22 matches. Should be easy
Agree with you and Doc just wanting to avoid any last minute panics and so I will stick with 40 points if you don't mind. Call it belt and braces if you like but it is Leeds after all.
aha of course, you're in Spain, I forgot. try this one instead Not the best highlights, as it misses out most of the move for the 5th goal, but at least something to watch hopefully
