Margaret, the first woman to have her vaccine jab, has just become the first woman to have had both jabs.

Presumably, Bill Gates has now taken full control.

A union has accused ambulance bosses of telling paramedics not to take up an offer to have the coronavirus vaccine. The Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust offered vaccines to ambulance staff on December 27.But anger arose when South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAMB) allegedly forbid staff from getting the jab, despite the vaccine potentially going to waste if not used up. The Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust offered vaccines to ambulance staff on December 27 SECAMB management said that staff should not access the vaccine in this way and they will be informed when it is being rolled out to them.

Odd item for the Premier League to be reporting. More proof of football taking over our lives.

Odd story, real question is why were there vaccinations 'left over', would there have been more left over when the time came round for the second jab and does the 'system', whatever it is, allow for the recording of unscheduled first jabs? Could be a recipe for a bit of chaos. If this is the full story my sympathies lie with the authorities.

It's actually a Daily Mail story and rather misleading, the only issue was having staff drop in for a jab, leaving the ambulance service unable to keep track of which staff had had the jab and which hadn't. They're actually doing them already, at the rate of about 500 every two days, so their entire staff can have one before the end of the week.

It'd make sense to me for 1st responders to take advantage of any slack in the system, and use their reserved spot to offer the vaccine to others at the front line. It looks like there was an opportunity that's been missed due to bureaucrats.

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl will manage Tuesday's game against West Ham from home after a member of his household tested positive for coronavirus.

The club said the 53-year-old "is currently self-isolating while we assess the situation further".

Hasenhuttl will contact the team and coaching staff throughout the game via a video and audio link.

Southampton made the announcement three hours and 15 minutes before kick-off.

It's frightening how dim some people are...

Police in South Wales have seized speakers, generators and lighting after breaking up an illegal rave on the outskirts of Cardiff (a city that has rates as high as 1,400 per 100,000 in some areas) on Sunday night - many dispersed but 25 party-goers have been reported for summons.

The UK has reported another 53,135 cases of coronavirus, the highest recorded daily total since the pandemic began.

    There were also 414 deaths.

I think the youngsters under 30 have little regard for the lockdown, they know that the virus doesn't really have dire consequences for them unless they have underlying conditions. New Year's Eve is going to be interesting.

OK, I admit a bit of a generalisation, but the under 30's are getting seriously fed up of the Tier constraints and adherence to the rules is now on the wain due to little enforcement of the rules.

The Daily Mail and Facebook are the two main sources of info for posters on here.

No wonder they don't know their arse from their elbow.

I get you there, but let's not tar all of the youth with the same brush. There are so amazing many young people working in hospitals and other essential areas.

I'm not coming down on you or anything. I just feel it needs pointing out.

As an under 30, **** you too. :emoticon-0173-middl

Most of the people I know of my age have been perfectly normal and have obeyed the rules.

I've seen as many older people flaunt the rules as I have younger people. This isn't some generational bullshit. There's plenty of people of all age groups being ****s.

For example, the elder generation seem to be the ones who have no ****ing idea how to wear a facemask.

I agree. I have hardly strayed outside for months, my wife on the other hand has worked right the way through. She say’s the worse age groups are pensioners reluctant to break routines.

The age group I encounter with dumb arse know nowt, but loudest, opinions are around 40-60.

I had a, very rare, trip to Morrisons yesterday, the dumbest ****s I encountered were all above 40. A family of three (the child around early 20s with autism) all had mask exemption signs hang round their necks. I can appreciate they’re not for everyone but if you, your partner & you’re disabled son (who was very loudly shouting “hello” at everyone he walked past) have difficulties wearing a mask then why the **** are you all traipsing round a shop? Knob heads (the parents) Take some responsibility.

The age group that appears most sensible to me is around 25-40. I base this on my own kids, their friends & the people I work with.

Our personal circumstances, social interactions & acquaintances will determine different experiences that show, ultimately, there’s knob heads of all ages.

As an aside, I'm currently self-isolating due to someone in my office testing positive for Covid.

Got into work this morning for the first time since Boxing Day only to be told to go to Humber Bridge car park <laugh>

Self-isolation is ****ing ****e, isn't it? Though it has given me an opportunity to blast out my record collection.
