NHS England have revealed that there were 20,426 patients being treated in hospitals as of 8am on Monday, compared with the 18,974 patients recorded on 12 April (which was the previous peak).
Not good news Even though treatment is better now I assume the numbers will keep going up as the case rates do. I know a few weeks ago 25% of all hospital beds in our area had Covid patients in them. Can’t imagine they normally have 25% empty?
During the first wave the under 30s were scared it could affect them so they kept their heads down, now they realise it doesn't affect them most simply don't give a **** and it's someone elses problem
It does, but they don't show symptoms, so they pass it on to granny Sharon to bump her off to get their inheritance..
And they wonder why they're having to call the paramedics... "We're attending patients in their own home and it's clear that there's multiple families present and people who have been mixing despite being in Tier 4 regions" says paramedic Will Broughton.
I expect football/sports to be suspended in a week or so, and eventually the season will have to be extended to fit in the outstanding matches. There’s no way it can continue with the rest of the population under increasing restrictions over the next few weeks.
Looking forward to Euro2020/21/22 being played at the same time as the world Cup in Qatar2022. A feast of football.
