Some of you will be saying the same thing once we loan two (dogshit) players in Jan, that it's short term, takeover to be done by Summer. There is no takeover. The club isn't worth £300-odd million. Nobody will pay that. It's worth about £200-220m tops, and **** the loan - that was Ashley's fault. We're utterly screwed until Ashley sees no way out.
I am in the camp of "it will likely happen if we stay up." But, lets just wait and see. The doom and gloomers have less to go on than the optimists right now, so no reason to be pessimistic about it.
This is likely Bruce seemed to have a contract which left him easy to sack, with the objective of keeping us up and that's it. If he gets a new contract with far improved terms, I'd say its off.
It's like people can't accept it not certain either way.. Im. With you it's in the balance but not guaranteed.. Some seem to be asserting it off, but they're just guessing... All we know it it's gone legal and the journalists saying its fir the right to change ownership, so I don't know why they're ruling it out completely..
I'm in the camp of it's not happening. At least that way if it ever happens it will be ****ing euphoric.
Oh and the bread, brown ale and guiness... I mean come on how much of a wink do they want during non disclosure
Newcastle United can now announce that Steve Bruce has been appointed as the club's new head coach. The 58-year-old, who was born in Corbridge, Northumberland and raised in Wallsend, returns to Tyneside after signing an initial three-year contract and will be joined at St. James’ Park by coaches Steve Agnew and Stephen Clemence.
Hopefully he is sacked before that mate. However for that to happen we are going to need other teams to close the gap on us to the bottom 3. With this takeover at stake it's going to have to be results over sacking Bruce I think.
People saying its quiet? So what it's Xmas and new year for a start... They'll either win or lose the case then boom a story will break
It's happening. It is well known that Ashley pays an annual retainer of circa £15 million to Denton's LLP. De Marco and Fatima as QC's command top legal fees. You are talking of costs of millions. Denton's and Ashley are instructing two of the worlds top QC's at significant cost. Ashley is not going to waste that kind of money on a 'dead' takeover. It is not chasing compensation as action would commence in the High Court. Arbitration is a legal fact. Ashley's legal action against the PL is a legal fact. He is not backing out or looking to stall. He wants rid and his legal action is for that purpose alone. Just because there are no leaks people assume it is all bollocks. Nothing can be said by anyone on the selling side as to do so would prejudice their case.
