So Everton pushing PL for more information on how/why city game was cancelled. Bet the push for the three points.
You'd do well to investigate the same bank accounts involved in last year's CAS decision to overturn the ban on City by UEFA then.

Can't happen with a league game, it would be too unfair on other teams who had to earn the 3 points to keep up.
It's fine in a cup game where the only loser is the team that can't compete because their players have broken the bubble rules.
Or alternatively he has said Klopps ok with a top side but couldn't martial a poor side with his one tactic.Well yeah but he’s basically called them ****e.
Like i said, fine in cup games where the only team that suffer is the one at fault.Spurs got a bye to the next round, when Orient couldn't fulfil their fixture. St Mirren/Kilmarnock in Scotland were awarded 3-0 wins against them, that was until they took it to appeal.
I think if football are deemed to be out of control of the virus, which looking at the increased cancellations is the case, then the government should suspend football immediately, otherwise it's not fair on other businesses that spent millions on covid restrictions but still got fooked over by Tier 4 controls.

You can't give one team a 3 point advantage over others for something beyond their control.

Ahh, you are on a completely different discussion to meHow's it fair on businesses that have been shut down by covid restrictions, despite spending thousands, even millions, and jobs lost of ordinary people, why should football be an exception. I suggest cancel all games immediately, so they are treated the same as other businesses. Football has clearly lost it's control on the virus and I don't see why they should be treated differently to your average person on the street.

I was talking about awarding points that teams haven't earned whilst others don't get the same advantage.
When it comes to shutting the game down, then yes if this keeps happening.
Don't forget the inhalers mate, just a little camphorated water to clear the tubescould WBA run without all the special drinks that Liverpool have.

Oh i agree entirely with the need for sanction after they have already had two cases and obviously haven't done enough since then.I sort of see your point but us asking for some genuine clarity on this one is right imo.
City had lost 2 players to COVID for their last game, how many more positive tests have they got, and it is therefore reasonable to accept that they don’t turn up on the day of the game?
If there’s even a whiff of gamesmanship then they should forfeit the points imo, but it won’t happen obvs.

The problem is money means nothing to them and giving you points hurts 4 or 5 other teams that have done nothing wrong.
Maybe the best action would be to take 3 points off City whilst not gifting anyone else points.

Not after they played Everton in a derby and the refs allowed them several, knee-high, uncontrolled karate kicks on them they couldn't. Allardyce's influence lives on in several clubs he managed.![]()
