Sounds like it's because of positive City tests.

But how come they made teams play if a few of their players were positive and had to isolate?

Well I’ve seen a couple of pens where the taker stops in the run up. What about Fernandes? He jumps in the air which effectively stops himself .... :emoticon-0112-wonde

You're allowed to slow down. Even to slower than a snail. You're just not allowed to completely stop.

What you say is "stopping" might not actually be stopping.

Tbf, newcastle also had a game postponed when there was a bigger outbreak in their squad.

Others have just been 1/2 players, such as when we missed Armstrong

At the moment. Not wanting to be negative, but things change all the time.

I'm not saying I agree with it, but they've lived in a different world since Summer.

It'll be interesting if the PL agree to push that back to Saturday now, or even later. It's not like it impacts fans, so a late fixture change can happen.

I get why it's been allowed and I hope it continues....the return of football lightened the mood for many people. In an ideal world to beat this disease, the whole of society shuts down, we all stay home and remain happy about it, everyone is paid in full, all companies makes profits anyway, and the disease is beaten and we all return to sunlit meadows in the future. In the real world, compromises are made and we limp towards the future. All things pass.

I can in the football league where testing isn't mandated. Don't see it in the top flight though.
