Pass map time, and at this point it's clear that a lot of the issues are tactical

Think about what most pass maps look like: Hojbjerg on the left of the pivot being the only CM to receive passes out of the back while Sissoko on the right of the pivot doesn't receive any, meaning that Aurier isn't being covered by a reliable tackler. So we covered this in part by switching Hiojbjerg to the right of the pivot (which I've been suggesting for the last two games) but there's an obvious issue, namely that while Dier is passing to both Winks and Hojbjerg to get the ball moving Sanchez simply isn't passing it forward at all and is instead either handing it off to Dier or laying it off to Doherty, and considering how many games since the West Scam game we've seen that pattern in (but not in the Europa league) it's clearly a tactical decision
Similarly, as happens with our right when Sissoko plays, there's a huge gap on the left where there should be passes from Winks or Ndombele out to Reguilon but there simply aren't, instead there's that jumbled mess between Winks, Hojbjerg and Dier and a slightly less jumbled mess between Winks, Hojbjerg and Ndombele that also shows that Winks and Hojbjerg were occupying a very narrow space in midfield and Winks should have been drifting a little further left to link between Davies, Reguilon, Ndombele and Kane
The fact Kane's drifted so far to the left is also an issue, as we have less of a focal point
And then we look at Wolves

First of all, you can see the surrender of midfield with Moutinho, Neves and Silva not only being available for passes from the CBs and from out wide, but you can also see them spraying about passes to whoever the hell they feel like. On top of that, look at their left flank, which is our right flank: Marcal and Neto are linking up practically unopposed down that flank, with Neto also being able to find Podence and Silva with similar reliability and get his fair share into Moutinho so we're still not shutting down that flank even though it continues to be an issue (one we exacerbate by sitting back so much and letting opponents take control) while you can see the left flank is comparatively well guarded as Traore is getting the ball but is unable to play in anyone when he has it, although Semedo is still able to get the ball to Moutinho and Silva pretty reliably
We're literally looking at us surrendering midfield and what happens when we do here, and it's ugly viewing
