The fact is that Gerrard got away with a crime whether it be GBH or assualt and affray(actual charge) he should have recieved some kind of punishment. I'm not a Judge so i can't say what that should have been but i think community service at least. I Think we all know that what Gerrard did was a crime even if he was proved innocent and to me this sends out the wrong message to the rest of society. People make mistakes but you should always be accountable for you're actions. The same is true in the De Gea case a crime was commited according to the law, where many others would have been prosecuted, he wasn't. RR the fact that you are happy to break the law and teach your children to do so also proves my point explicitly

I agree, and I'm not saying De Gea was right. He was undoubtedly stupid, but to try and compare him to the looters who were taking advantage of burning cars and people attacking the police is just stupid. The general resolution if the police are called is an £80 fixed penalty notice, and the shops can also take civil action if they wish. Claiming the courts should "make an example of him" because he is rich is simply undermining the foundations of the justice system.
Haha not me RHC, but i have made my own mistakes and paid for them. I love Gerrard and whether he commited a crime or not it will not change that, but seeing him been made accountable could change someone's life for the better. Let's be clear here he's hardly the first footballer to get into trouble and won't be the last but a bit of community service wouldn't have hurt him and would set a good example for the kids. Lets not forget the riots in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool all full of youngster's with no moral guide other than that presented to them from the wider world.

Timmy. He was found innocent. End of. Whilst I have been in trouble with the law on a good few occasions (all petty stuff), my two daughters never have and I doubt ever will. Because they were brought up properly (aged 21 and 17 respectively).
