Does Barton still have the French accent he picked up while playing in France?

    Like Steve McClaren’s Dutch accent.

If the Mail report is accurate it would seem that Evans was dropped for mickey-taking rather than any serious wrongdoing.

He has not been sacked, he is being moved on and presumably Fleetwood will be looking for a fee.

Barton does not come out of this very well, I think.

I have not heard anybody say a decent word about this individual. An unsavoury character.

I'd be okay with Evans at Charlton. He was innocent.

I'm not sure I'd be happy with him hanging around the women's youth team (if we have one).
Perhaps a chaperone would be appropriate - somebody a bit more trustworthy, like Prince Andrew :emoticon-0141-whew:

    My take on Evans.
His girlfriend's father being so supportive in the case has always made me feel that PERHAPS he was innocent of the accusations.

The girl involved in the Evans case cannot be compared with youth team aspiring sports professionals.

Any comparison is false in my opinion.
Nobody deserves to be abused if they aren't in a position to say no.

Young sportsmen and sportswomen are not immune from abuse by sexual predators either.
I would not trust Evans around any young woman.

If the CAFC takes him on then I would assume Sandgaard and Bowyer are both OK with him being around the Club.
That's their call. I'll not change my opinion of him.

    Regarding my post just above;

Ched Evans is a divisive subject. It provokes strong emotions.
I apologise if I worded my argument too sharply, or implied that fans with different perspectives don't care as much about the issue as I do.
    No offence intended <peacedove>

I'm just looking after it for a while.
Compared to some members I'm a relative newbie.
And back in the day (usually when ranting about RD or Br***t ) I used to become overly spiky occasionally :emoticon-0121-angry
I try to temper my opinions a little more these days... <hug>
