http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-15167866 Seriously, read for yourself - grown men chasing around the frozen wastes of Russia for a giant ape-like creature. Who's paying for this nonsense?
They're looking in the wrong place. There's been a few sightings in the East end of Glasgow in recent years. please log in to view this image
And what are they going to do when they find one? Sell it Levi jeans and a Coke? Some tw*t from the Fortean Times reckons there is still a lost tribe of gigantic ape-men strolling about the place. Prediction - they find absolutely f**k all but come back with footage of men waking up in the middle of the night after hearing "a mysterious noise" and filming themselves on one of those night vision cameras like in Blair Witch Project. They will find tufts of fur and will be convinced they are the hair from the arse of Giganticus Footicus and the usual stock shots of feck off big footprints in the snow or mud. There ARE undiscovered species out there, scientists are finding them all the time but these have usually been frogs, insects, small rodents or sub-species of other animals. Not Big Foot, not the Loch Ness Monster, not Jurassic F**king Park. It is all a load of old nads.
Well no, quite. My question was more of a 'who would be stupid enough to fund this joke?' rather than 'so that's where my taxes are going'. I hope this heals your pain.
