Ministers push to speed up Covid-19 vaccine so that rules can be lifted after first 15m people get the jab.

Israel, the country which has vaccinated a greater proportion of its population than any other, is already giving jabs to more than 0.5 per cent of its population every day. If the UK were to match that pace, then the 15 million target would be reached in March – allowing a relaxation in time for Easter.

Government officials are wary of putting a timeline on the vaccine roll-out because of the risk of unforeseen problems with its distribution. The Department for Health will publish updated figures on how many people have been inoculated every Thursday.

You can’t pay for a dose, all doses are controlled by the NHS.

Where there's a will, there's always a way. The NHS may well be the best in the world, but it's not infallible.
Foreign travel comes to mind, as does prohibition in the US in the '20s.

Chances are most will have already had it made available to them before any makes its way into the private sector.

Not at all...i guess you are assuming he is an anti vaxer or something, absolutely not. Its just a debate/discussion on some of the facts, myths etc. Some I would agree with, some not. Agree with him or not, he is a renowned journalist who will have done his research.

It's people like you who's opinion counts for nothing who have fixed thinking and zero room to gain knowledge and possibly change your view.

    Prick.

If this occurs then they may come a cropper when asked for proof of vaccination when attending subsequent events, airports, train stations, places of work & many other things.

If he’s a journalist having to resort to podcasts to proclaim “Unreported Truths” then he’s a **** journalist.

“Masks don’t block Covid” Nobody said they did. They actually work to diminish the spread by putting up a barrier.

An attention seeking whore more interested in upping his Twitter follower count by spouting whatever **** appeals to the uneducated & ignorant masses.

    A prick.

I'm only part way through, as obviously there hasn't been time for anyone to have heard all the cast to form a real opinion unless they have a preconception of the people involved, but watching with an open mind, it seems interesting so far.

There's a fair bit I don't agree with, but Rogan at least tries to ask searching questions, but someone with a recognised understanding could no doubt do a better job of exploring the points that Berenson is offering.

That’s not true mate. The death rate for people with no health conditions is around 10% - so circa 6000 now. See an old table below

Always wondered why don’t those say “known” pre-existing health conditions. Some of those that died will have had a health condition they didn’t know about at the time of death and I suspect wasn’t found as they were ticked off with Covid as cause of death.

Indeed, I am about 30 mins off the end. As yourself, I don't agree with parts based on my own understanding but would rather have it challenged/hear differing opinions even if I think it's wrong.

Would have been good to have some expert to challenge...he has in the past done that on a couple of subjects. Nutrition debates I think.

But on the platform he is spouting...its only the number 1 podcast across the globe with a reach of millions.

I've not checked it myself, but according to some, in some areas, the rate of suicide accounts for a fair portion of any excess deaths over the long term average. As areas with tight lockdowns don't necessarily have the lower number of positives, it seems to imply that they could be self defeating if health is the key factor.

    Not my GP's but interesting...

    COVID VACCINATION SERVICE

We would like to take this opportunity to clarify why the Beverley Racecourse has been chosen as the COVID vaccination centre.

The Primary Care Network (an organisation representing all of the Beverley Practices) is working with NHS England to provide this service. NHS England have been very specific as to the requirements of the chosen venue. Although some town centre venues like the Leisure Centre or the Community Hospital may appear to be a more obvious choice, unfortunately they do not meet NHS England’s strict criteria.

The Racecourse management team have been extremely cooperative working hard to adapt their premises to meet these requirements. The Racecourse has the added advantage of being readily available for the next few months.

There is a bus service that stops outside the Racecourse, however, it may still prove difficult for some frail and elderly residents to access the venue. It would be appreciated if any organisations that can help with transporting these residents to the vaccination centre make it known to the community. Please note that the Primary Care Network cannot become involved with any transport issues but hope that any charities or organisations within the area could help to provide a service where needed.

The Primary Care Network is ready to start the vaccination programme at the beginning of January 2021, however this is entirely dependent on the delivery of the vaccine. We will endeavour to keep our patients fully informed of any changes.

You will be contacted by NHS England with your vaccination date. Please do NOT contact your surgery. The local GP Practices are working hard to provide this service in addition to their normal workload and so cannot assist with vaccination appointment queries or transport issues.

Thank you for your patience and we look forward to a safer and happier 2021 for everybody.
