It needs new threads now like. This is getting too messy especially as we are now RICH AS FUUUCCKKKK. Big button at the top lads and lasses saying post new thread. Ha'way the new thread(s).
Thanks for not taking offence mate, I like RAWA, you, Ghandi, etc. I just want the new regime to get the warmest welcome possible. They need to know that the passion they saw, when they bought us, is there and immediate. As a ragtag League One side, struggling to match teams like Burton and Wimbledon, this is a takeover Carlsberg wouldn't dare propose ... ... as supporters it's our job to support, and the new people need to know, 100%, that it's there.
We all know Smug, if they really want to see the supporters passion, just give us a little bit of success, 50+ years of footballing frustrations will explode with emotion.
We’re having a go again. It often turns to **** but we’re better when we’re having our go. Let’s just enjoy the hope and if it doesn’t work out then at least we tried.
If we carry forward the negativity Donald and Methven cemented then they've beaten us ... ... yes we trusted them and it went wrong, never mind let's show everyone what we're all about.
I'm glad to read this mate. Though my concerns aren't necessarily about the current board or yourself or other reps, but more it being high jacked later by others. I've had experience of that happening with some things I've been involved with in the past, and it can get very messy and unpleasant. A few friendships have ended because of one incident on a committee from a few years back. But your statement is positive and fingers crossed it goes well. Maybe we'd all feel differently if Stew and Chas hadn't fractured the relationship between the club and the fans. Here's to the future.
Exactly mate. The last good times I remember was under Reid and the stadium felt like a fortress. We need that back asap.
I am convinced that we are going to see a great positive turn around in the club and expect promotion this season, I’m already planning my celebration after our victory in the play off final. Time to bin all the negativity.
I myself can't wait for the young man to totally change the way the club has been ran! He has been round football all his life and him and his family will know some of the best advisors in the game. I can't believe the negatively on rtg and he hasn't even stepped foot in the club yet. I hope he proves every doubter wrong and we get back into the premier League playing attractive football. I'm buzzing and so should every single fan.
Not a political post it’s a follow up to the discussion about immigration which I just quoted the facts. I’m quite happy to leave politics out and stick to the takeover but if other people brought up the immigration issue I am quite entitled to join in. But as you say let’s stick to football.
Why oh why can’t we let the new owners get their foot over the threshold before supporters groups start mouthing off with no authority , I am not aware of giving them permission to speak on my behalf and I am sure other supporters will feel the same . The new owners will have their plans for the club and I think they should be afforded the courtesy of some time to make the SAFC supporters aware of what their hopes and aspirations are for the club , the recent appointments of Speakman and Johnson are hopefully an indication of a major change in direction for the club . RAWA and other groups should give the new management team room to make the changes we have wanted at the club and not pressuring them to making hasty decisions which have plagued our club for years . All I would say is wind your necks in lads and wait till we know what the plans for the club are .
