Johnbo, mate. I've been through the same thing with my own Dad.

Unfortunately he passed away (way before the virus and unrelated).

Luckily I live fairly close to the care home he was in, so I was able to visit every other day.

One Saturday we were playing Fulham and l was sat with my Dad, just you know, just talking about City and that.

I'd already stopped going, due to the Allam factor but Dad insisted I should go to the game.

You have to do what your Dad tells you to do. So there was still time and I went to that game.

    We won 2-0.

We still got relegated that season though <laugh>

Things don't always turn out how we want them to x

Now that’s a Christmas present that money cannot buy. You take care Johno and I hope you get to sit and chat to your Dad in person soon.

The family are currently playing a game called Escape Room and they insisted I take part.

Apparently I'd be locked in the room with the five other family members for at least two hours.

I didn't have a ****ing clue what I was supposed to be doing, so I just sat on a comfy chair in the corner of the room for five minutes.

Kemps, if you're not interested, just get out, said Mz Kempton.

So I did, because they hadn't locked the door.

So technically I reckon I won.

    They're going to tell me I'm a miserable **** aren't they.

    Oh well <devil>

    Traditional sage and onion stuffing.

Christmas dinner was a roast nut and balsamic onion Wellington, mash, roasts, parsnips, bread sauce, sprouts, carrots, broccoli, chestnuts, cranberry sauce, red cabbage, vegan sausages wrapped in pastry, Yorkshire puddings & aforementioned stuffing.
    All homemade
    ...and champagne

We also cooked turkey, cider roasted ham and pigs in blankets, non vegan Yorkshires & cream based bread sauce for the visiting murderers

Belated Christmas wishes, just got home today after three days in HRI.
I want to say a massive thank you to all staff on ward 50 in HRI. From the start of Christmas Day to getting laid down after a long day, they did all they could to make the day special for all the patients. We even got a Lynx pack off them as a present.
Thank you Ward 50, it'll be a Christmas i'll never forget.

No problem, Ward 50 treated my mam for years, her words on them were always "kindness itself." Look after yourself.

Slow burning gout is making a late showing.

I might try bathing it in a bucket of Gaviston!
