Reading that full L'equipe interview I think there's things in there that show how much this deal has moved and you can totally understand how some of the information the itk's were getting was a moving feast. It mentions about the backstage game of poker, American investors on the prowl, existing people wanting a lump of money or to stay and he very nearly walked away in November.
I was being told two entirely contradictory things, at the same time, from two people I trust ... ... looks like they were both right
Are you using Google search engine? I use Google on my phone and have the three vertical dots and the incognito option when I tap them.
There’s an argument that EVERYONE was right. Even NQD, Nixon etc. The difference was everybody was getting different perspectives from different people, some biased, some misleading and some not fully knowledgable. For instance even if your source was Stewart Donald, he’s not going to know exactly KLDs intentions, only what KLD is telling / showing him. And that itself may be a bluff. It’s why everyone should take the ITK info as useful and grateful barometers but not get too worked up on it. And it’s absolutely why people shouldn’t do what NQD etc did and say something definitely isn’t happening. He probably had been told it wasn’t, but in the face of somebody saying they heard it was happening, he should have listened and understood and respectfully said he thinks it might not. Rather than doubling down, as many did. not sure what my point is. But basically thank you to all the ITKs for passing on the information you did. I have zero doubt that anything passed on by those trusted people on here was anything other than what they believed to be true, whether things evolved or otherwise.
I've no problem with anyone passing on what they've been told mate. It's only when someone condescendingly claims only they have the facts, directly from the top, that it becomes annoying. Dismissing everyone else as gullible dopes doesn't help either
Bob Murray did some good & poor things....one thing he did when he left was make sure he passed the club onto decent people & more importantly he had set the club up with the infrastructure it owned for someone with enough money & vision in the future to progress us. Like you say tgis is where some big clubs have issues
I believe Smug posted it a few days ago and there are a couple of posters put it on a couple of pages back.
