Loved him back in the day and had terrible luck with injuries. Bizarrely often overlooked at the expense of Danny Dichio which Arthur C Clarke could have done a Christmas special on. If he's qualified he has a chance but the days of sentimental decisions are gone if we stick to what our plan is going to be.
Dunno if he's done any qualifications but apparently he's been doing the broadcasts for the Premier League in Oz
The kids couldn’t possibly learn from anyone better.Top striker who’s career was ruined by injury.. Things are looking up for the u18’s from what I’m hearing.
Surprised as they look very settled in Aus. Would be our gain though. Top lad and as many say, he should be an inspiration to our youths. Has his licenses etc.
I’d love to see him back at Sunderland as well, but back to my original post. He would have to demonstrate that he knows how to instruct and coach. Too many good players fail at coaching because they can’t transfer their football skill to coaching skill.
Nobody knows how he would do coaching the kids and I’m sure that there are loads of ex players with the same skills as bridges, and I’m just hoping that Speakman or whoever is in charge of employing someone for this position gets it right as we need to get the academy back to where it was
