He was asked that at the conference.

    Q. Where did the UK give the most ground and where did the EU compromise the most?

Johnson: We wanted to ensure complete control of access to our fisheries from the get-go, he says.

The EU began with wanting a transition of 14 years, the UK wanted three years, we’ve ended up at five and a half years, “a reasonable transition period”, he says.

Northern Ireland months ago. Oh you mean today? I'd say we'll get the nitty gritty in the next day or two.

Give it a fortnight before the headbangers in his own party start kicking off.

    Until then - Gammonfest. Hurrah.

The fact that the SNP are fuming tells me it was a good deal for the UK.

    I might be wrong tho.

There's going to be loads of tweaking and grumbling about the detail, but getting the main aspects over the line, mean that they can be focused on and wider views considered in to the future.

Wee Jimmy's issue seems to be about seed potatoes, 5% that go to the EU, and 50% that go to the UK. <doh>

Does anyone know what's in the deal or are the massive celebrations simply because you got a deal at all? Genuine question, I've no skin in the game.

They're not really 'celebrations'. It's just funny after all the prophecies of doom, gloom and failure, that it looks to be over the line without the world coming crashing around our ears, as the 'expert' posters have been claiming for several years.

It's just another excuse to laugh at them really.

They all wanted 'No Deal', but now they're very excited about this deal. If Boris tells them it's great then they lap it up.

Makes no sense but at least they're happy <ok>

Tessa May's deal gave the EU control of UK (Scottish).fishing waters for 3 years.

    Boris voted against it!

    Independence will end them!
