Mark Francois. Now there's a name we haven't heard since a Tory ex-minister in their 50s was arrested in August on rape charges...

The Lib Dems won't ever learn that lesson though, because they are divided about 50:50 between moderate conservatives and non-socialist radicals. So the absence of a LibDem candidate probably doesn't make much difference to the Tory to Labour split. But in a constituency like mine, the choice is between a Tory MP or a LibDem one. There doesn't actually need to be any pact....in most elections Labour supporters could stop the Tories having a majority by tactically voting LibDem.
Though if Labour had backed ATV they wouldn't need to.

There's another option on this theme circulating at the moment (by The Kunts), but those of us who prefer the Fascinating Aida, then this is perfect..

The problem with the Lib Dems, which is evident in local politics and has been for decades, is they will always side with the Tories over Labour so there's no incentive for anyone to work with them - and that's before bringing up how both Clegg and Swinson refused to make a deal with Labour

As for the alternative vote referendum, Clegg ****ed that up from the outset by not getting any assurances from Cameron before the vote, which is why the Tories torpedoed it right out of the gate and had their mates in the press do likewise

That's the difference between the Lib Dems and the DUP: when the Lib Dems were offered a coalition they couldn't sign on the dotted line fast enough, but when the DUP were they spent a couple of weeks to screw enough out of the Tories to make it worth their while

Six weeks ago, judging by the mentalists demanding we sic the Royal Navy on French fishing boats. The real question is how long before Lee Hurst manages to be a guest on Question Time and HIGNFY in the same week

    On the subject of mentalists...
