About to head out for Christmas eve with the family. For those of you with bairns and Grandbairns let them know that your Australian friens will let them lnow once Santa has been so they know that he's on the way. If nobody has seen this before it's a great little website to see how he's travelling https://www.noradsanta.org/
As I put the recycling bin out there are a few snow flakes and a very light dusting of snow in East Durham, it really is Christmas All the best everyone
We are a daft bunch, all that’s thrown against us and we still can’t help getting a bit sentimental about the white stuff
Been a bloody good thread this, loving everyone's pictures....keep them coming. Charlie, Murphy and Alfie getting into the festive spirit, whether they want to or not.
Not up to the standard of @Makemstine Roger pics..... Crookhall, Consett. Loved seeing kids and families out with their sledges, reminded me of simpler times, when we actually used to play outside. The bungalows are all about 100 years old, and were built for the miners at Crookhall pot.. Many are un-modernised and as night falls you can see the smoke coming out of the chimneys, and can smell the coal burning. I love that smell.
I came across a 30's version early this morning, still moving if you just believe and ignore the shaky sets. Still prefer the Alastair Sim classic though.
Alistair sims is a proper joy to watch, his transformation is the best of the lot I can’t help smiling just to think of it
