If I could add two more they would be any side managed by Sam Allardyce and any side managed by anyone that was managed by Alex Ferguson. So that includes Aston Villa- Alex McCleish. Sunderland Steve Bruce.
The fact that you think Chelsea and Manchester City are small clubs is exactly the sort or arrogance that makes Liverpool so hated!!
It's not arrogance it's plain truth. Now show me the trophies both doemstic and European that disprove my statement. Then look at the analysis of global support - don't see Chelsea or City figuring highly there either.
On a global scale, Chelsea are a small club in Fulham, facts are facts and even Man United fans will agree with that. For god sake, Americans think Chelsea is a girls name. Man City are a small club, they don't even own their own stadium, Manchester City Council own it.
The arrogance is astounding. Chelsea and City are not as big as United or Liverpool and most of their fans would accept that but to say they are both small clubs is laughable. And using Americans as some sort of guide to what's big in football is even more laughable. The ignorance of the average american is almost as shocking as your arrogance. Still Chelsea still entertained tens of thousands on recent Asia and American tours so your statement is bollox anyway. I wonder what Torres thinks constitutes a big club (wink).
I wouldn't call Chelsea or City small clubs at all. I'd say they're young clubs, they're writing their history now. I think they will admit they are nowhere near the size of United or Liverpool but I'd still say they are big clubs.
You really are a very silly boy when you want to expand the argument into overseas support. In every listing of global following, United and Liverpool stand far far higher than Chelsea or City. When it comes to the commercialisation of that support the gap becomes even wider. As for Torres, I would (if I could be bothered) wonder what he thinks because he isn't going to win any medals with your lot.
No Eric. Comparatively they are small clubs. They need to be able to sustain their progress over far longer than a few years befor they can truly consider themselves to be a big club. However, if a spirit of harmony I will amend my statement and say that they are SMALLER clubs,
Chavski and ManMecca City are such small clubs, that most football fans around the world have never heard of them.
English football has only two global clubs, and they are Liverpool and Manchester United and it doesn't take a genius to work out why they are English footballs only global clubs. One reason being is they have earnt the right to be English footballs global clubs, and it didn't involve money.
Its a miracle, wonders will never cease. You've spoken sense. I have to pinch myself....I agree with every word you said. I however hope this doesn't last.
1 spurs 2 Leeds 3 west ham 4 arsenal 5 tbc; used to be Liverpool, but we don't see them as rivals these days.
