Genuine question - I could be wrong, but it seems like Kane, Son and a couple of others are playing an awful lot of football recently. Mourinho doesn’t seem to have rotated much in some areas, even when he’s had the chance to. Is this a concern or do you feel like he’s managing the squad fairly well?
We've been getting 2 points a game for several seasons running. What standard do you think should be applied? As has been apparent for ages, it is very hard to improve on what we have. The new stadium should be improving things by now but Covid has stopped that.
That’s mainly down to the players I mentioned. You can’t deny there is still players in the squad that aren’t good enough
Huge concern. A number of key players were already looking ****ed in the Leicester match and two of them just played 90 mins again tonight. Can’t help but fear an injury’s round the corner or a severe drop in form due to fatigue.
It was debated earlier in this very thread. He's overplaying some of the squad, as he doesn't seem to trust other players. Kane, Son and Hojbjerg are the main ones. We've rotated most of the others quite a lot, though I'd also chuck Sissoko in there.
I’m fine with it as long as results are good It’s not as easy as just rotating players in and out and keeping the season going. Tonight was a huge game for silverware so I can absolutely see why they played
Posted at 19:2819:28 Post update Stoke 1-3 Tottenham Sky reckon Harry Winks collected his third assist for Spurs for the opener tonight - not this season, ever. Surprised?
He played quite a lot of balls into the channels and over the top today, which is not normal. If a few players had read them a little better, then he could've had more assists. I suspect someone's had a word, though it might just be that he wasn't our deepest midfielder tonight, which he normally is.
Almost all our players would be improved by a replacement costing 50m but very few by a 30m player. So it will cost a lot to improve the squad.
Does he? As I pointed out in another thread, we got more points per game in the 9 post covid matches with Winks and Sissoko than we have this season with Hojbjerg.
That game where Adebayor had goals chalked off and we had bookings galore while they kicked lumps out of us , the ref had to be on the take that day
It says it all that I know exactly which match you're talking about. Kaboul sent off at the end to finish it off. ****ing awful. Adebayor was onside by about 3 yards. Poxy cyclist.
