Shincliffe wins the best place to live hands down. Really pretty village, one shop (which my uncle owned, so I was in constant supply of free sweets), lots of countryside and woods to play in, close to Durham and nice people.

I notice how a serious debate on the merits of a superior village, (Coxhoe) v a shanty town, (Chester) is being taken over by minor colonies built to house the areas underlassess.
