So because of this new strain of the virus, one of the up to 40 variants of the original covid 19 travel to and from Holland, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Austria, Ireland and the UK has been restricted. I think the only reason they announced a new potent strain was to excuse the **** up they made in the south east by not locking down earlier. Edit half an hour after I posted the above SKY are now saying this new strain is already in some of the above listed countries.

Another press conference this evening it seems , full lockdown from 00:01 Boxing day anyone ? ... they may as well announce it now and do it properly if they are going to do it IMO , start on boxing day and finish 31st January , give us chance to get a decent amount of people vaccinated which in turn will help all round and give some breathing space with regards to infections and amounts of cases a day etc , ties in with when his extra powers expire as well so any future measures will have to be voted through.
And watch train stations full of little ****ers rushing back to London for their NYE House Parties...
We're now banned from flying to most of Europe, India, Russia, South America, parts of the Middle East, Canada and parts of China. No mention of Jamaica though. It's tempting.
Anyone see the press conference? Proff Boffin didn't seem to want to offer reassurance that Tier 3 would hold the new strain. I read that as Tier 4 all round for the New Year.
