I think we all agree on the first part of your post William. Pity Harris doesn't read this board. Bacuna's not perfect in midfield but he is far and away the fittest and most mobile and performs box to box duties better than anyone else we have. Least said on his shooting abilities the best but you can't have everything. The sooner Desmond returns the better or, failing that, we sign another competent right back in the January window
We are going to be in serious financial difficulty and I believe anyone we can command a decent fee for will be sold. Any high earners there will be an attempt to get them off the books. We will replace with loans and cheap signings. The good thing is we wont be alone. I fully expect Smithies , Morrison and Moore to be sold and maybe Ralls. Cunningham , Hoillett . Sol , Bennett out of contract. Maybe Bennett will stay on a reduced deal. Junior will easily get a better deal. Parachute Payments gone. We will need some decent transfer fees. The above 4 are the only ones I believe we will get over a million for.
Theres loads of others in the same boat. Its not all bad. Trust Harris to rebuild. Maybe Sol on the coaching staff. I think Dillon Phillips will be a good replacement if Smithies leaves. Bagan and Harris showing promise.
.........just been thinking all this doom and gloom through and I've come up with a solution. We go **** or bust for the rest of the season to get out of this division into the untold wealth that is the Premier League where such problems do not exist. Another guaranteed £150M at least in the bin including our parachute payments for coming straight back down. Sorted.
