Maybe not all but most are tap ins and close range headers.

it takes a quality player off the ball secure the 'tap ins'.
Torres has chelsea behind him (meaning more opportunities) yet his strike rate this season is terrible.

it's unfair to criticise best for securing tap ins because at the end of the day, i couldn't give a dump how we score our goals.

9 goals in 12 pl starts? thankyou!

Whats his overall goalscoring record?

I'd say that that is a pretty standard goal for any professional footballer.

I can't see any argument in this. Firstly he isn't a Championship Standard striker because he was **** in the Championship. But he can cut it in the Premiership and a goal is a goal no matter how it is scored!

So he can't cut it in the Championship but he can im the Prem? wtf are you talking about.

His stats suggest that he didn't do well in the Championship. But his stats suggest he is good in the Premiership. That may make no sense but you can't argue with games played and goals scored!

I don't care how he did for lower league teams 5 years ago. I care about how he is doing in the Premier League for Newcastle United, and he is doing wonderfully well!

But you said you cant argue with games played and goals scored. His overall record is bound to be a better reflection on how good a goalscorer he is rather than the handful of games he has played in the prem.

Bear in mind he's only just turned 25 and in his last two seasons is averaging more than a goal every two games, I'm delighted with our Championship quality striker. His record at 21 is irrelevant frankly.
