Anyway can we try and get back on topic (if possible).

I'm hearing that the BBC are ready to sell and the early indications are that it could be to us but I can't see that happening.

Being strongly reported in the Guardian though.

have read the same but tbh i think QPR will get first dibs because we have been in talks longer than Chelsea it makes sense. White City and SB is QPR area. Chelsea need to look nearer where they are.

We need a 50k stadium at the moment although the novelty of a new stadium can get you 10k new fans.

at the moment I would guess we could get 60k v pool united spurs arsenal city
50k v mid tier clubs with aggressive marketing
45k v others (we already get minimum 40-41k v Wigan blackburn etc
And 37-8k v 6PR ;)

Interesting how you cherry-pick those seasons

and

So you cherry pick Spurs golden years and our worst?

You see this is why i cannot debate with you two muppets. You make this quote and show me the 1999 season

As you can see our attendances before RA were higher than Spurs.
Next stupid question please?

Then I put up a few dates from previous years which prove I was correct in my first comment. You both then say I ‘Cherry pick’ which in fact, that is what you have done.
Now the thing is Spurs are a bigger club historically and you just need to accept it. Just read the all time attnds again.
Now you have had your 5 minutes of fame being on our board, go away and stop boring us.

What the stats don't show is away gates. Our away following was larger than any in the country bar United and Liverpool.

Hammersmith Blue, I also think a lot of it is to do with pricing. IMO There should be 3 categories.

AA which should be priced at £50

A which should be priced at £40

B which should be priced at £35

If that happens we should be able to fill out a 60k with ease.

AA - United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, City,

A - West Ham, Fulham, Villa, Newcastle

B - Sunderland, Blackburn, QPR, Wolves

With that kind of startegy or similar I reckon we'd be okay, what do you think?

Speaks volumes. 22-23,000 difference between the games you want to see and the ones you don't. You don't get that at man u, Liverpool, etc. Bit of an embarrassing admittance.

Actually around 15k difference.

About the same difference as your average Gate in the 80s and when Chelsea came to town; in the milk cup say. Remember singing in the paddock loft-side: can you spot a rangers fan.. No.o no

Went with some rangers fans and they were shocked by how Chelsea outnumbered them and were too scared to celebrate their goal in their own end or sing.

Anyway back on top, district.

I think chelsea would sell out marquee games at £60-£80 a pop; i think i paid £64 for shed upper this season. But we couldn't sell out qpr or fulham in the carling at £25 a piece.

Premiership matches would attract bigger crowds. But even if we cut prices I dont think we would sell out v clubs of this size.

Our away following was massive back then as the bridge was such a sump.

My favourite memories are: 20000 at highbury 77 (was it the league cup or league) and 84
15000 at fulham 77, 84, rangers boxing day 84,
Milk cup 87
12000 city 89, palace 84, spurs 84, spurs 78/9
7000 city 84 for a night game friday live and sunderland Wednesday night

Northolt the guy is a bull####### muppet. Reckons he has 3 tickets in RBLOCK because we couldn't sell it out. <laugh>
Probably has never even been to QPR. He sounds like a 'Jonny come Roman' to me.

60,000 - 37,000 = 23,000.

Does your employer know you have spent the last 3 days on this thread?
