There was a similar panic relating to a variation in Spain a few months back, although it didn't get the same attention, and ultimately the apparent increase was due to noisy data. This Govt has destroyed our country, ran up a wartime debt, robbed us of our basic civil rights, banned us from seeing our family and friends, terrorized us with COVID-19 projections and to top it all off, they discovered a "new variant" in September and used it as the reason to close the economic heart of the country 3 months later which in turn, has turned us into a pariah state with other countries no longer willing to send their exports to us via haulage meaning we could be heading to food shortages very quickly. My point is these ****s are destroying the place where I live. They are not stupid, they know what they are doing, I don't know why they are doing it but they will. We will be living with the consequences of their actions for the rest of our lives. Most people don't even begin to understand the consequences of the Govt actions now.
