Well There is a theory why the club gave him a contract, the lesser of two evils springs to mind ;)

Others brought in what we were paying him- jager.

And thats not bringing up a financial issue ? Hmm .

What you earn ,what you pay and what you owe Are all financial issues where i come from. Typing about who said what first is kinda side tracking the Issue and going off thread ,something that is a cardinal sin on This board nowadays . Boddes financial status was relevent to the natural progression of this disscussion, but arguing about who is right is boring me jager.

Still refuse to answer my posts Regarding taylor? Im trying to keep it on football but you would rather debate what is afinancial issue and what isnt . No Wonder the board is going backwards .i suggest you moderate yourself and try to stick to the general area of this thread ;)

Dragon that is a fair point, we all want to see ferrie back playing and as you know yourself There have been lots of stories about the guy that i would never put on a message board. But having had major knee surgery myself i use that as the yard stick more than what ive heard about the guy ;)

I concur completely with the above, and can only conclude that Jager is going through the Male Menopause!!................

Norway yes true, but as I said originally on the old BBC 606, I ignored these issues, trusting the club to manage him, which seems to be happening, I've never seen a player so desperate to play in the Prem, as Bodde, well maybe Rangel, and that for me is the one driving issue with Bodde that has probably given the club a headache, that and the fact that he might well have come back too soon initially under Sousa!.........

Dragon- the issue of bodde being brought back too soon has been the burning question inside and outside of the club for some, i assume the club followed doctors orders and if he was passed fit then There shouldnt have been any problems, see ed strange to me that he spent so much time out in Holland with minimal club contact, nobody really knows if was following his rehab to the letter or not.

Of course ferrie might have just been unlucky,it does happen(but extremly rare) 3 years out tells me That the players rehab or medical advice have not been followed correctly.

IMO the club could have done better in looking after one of their best assets. Things Are different now but maybe its too late, lets hope not ;)

I do think that with hindsight maybe both the club and Bodde could have done things a bit better, but of course it must have been hugely frustrating, and I repeat hugely frustrating for Bodde, watching us last season going for promotion, with the issues he had keeping him off the field of dreams, and I'm sure that this little niggle that Bodde has just got out of the way, is his final attempt to get his knee back to perfection for his desperate endeavour to play in the Premiership, by the way he dances well on the disco floor on it, so let's hope he boogies well shortly, and does his magic for us on the field of play! The Bodde supremacy returns, yummy, get in there son...........

Even if he plays a small part for us he's a hell of a player to bring on from te bench if it comes to that. As others have said even if he turns out to be a squad player he could well have an important part to play in keeping us up. And surely that's what we all want?

he wont be back he is crocked and its just wishful thinking on his part and some fans who think he will be like the player he was, not a chance in hell....he is finished playing top level football or should i say he never got the chance of playing at the top. coaching is his best bet or lower his sights to the lower / non league. Shame but there are better players than bodde that had to accept that and there will be more after him too. its just bad luck on his part but that's the way it is.....you just have to get on with it....

But lets face it, you are no doctor, you have no connection with the case, you are just a lay man who is basing your opinions on history, and that is obviously flawed! Sorry but if you go on other long term injured players out of football who have come back, most recently hargreaves, you will realise that each case is unique
