    dead mans shoes - classic

theres a few bits in it you just had to laugh at

"what you looking at?" - "you, you c**t!"

while reading a porn mag " she likes it alfresco, what's that, like up the arse?"

I have a cameo role in this production so obviously its one of my favourites. Also (don't laugh) "Derailed" with Clive Owen is a quality film if you like a thriller with plenty twists!!!

Films of Beauty, with great music (but not neccessarily much action):-

    Days of Heaven
    Barry Lyndon
    Jean De Florette (french)
    Manon Des Sources(sequel to JDF)
    Death in Venice

    Oldies:-

    Casablanca
    Gone With The Wind
    Kes
    The Magnificant Seven
All Quiet on the Western Front(original b&w version)

    Pure style:-

    Pulp Fiction
    Kill Bill (1&2)
The Godfather Part II (better than Part I)
    Dawn till Dusk

    Best Film seen this year:-

My Name is Khan (funny, sad, but ultimately uplifting Bollywood movie about autism, racism and 911) A must see imo.

    Philistine!

I accept that Barry Lyndon would not be everyones cup of tea. However it is beautifully filmed, especiall the card scene, where Kubric didn't use the usual lighting, but instead used thousands of candles, off camera, so as to get a realistic flickering effect.

As regards Jean de Florette, we will just have to agree to disagree.
