Really great performance. Just don’t have enough “extra” in the final 1/3rd from the front players. Moussa & Redmond very poor considering the level of rest of team. Adams also. Shame. Still, very close to getting a win against Arse & a draw today. Very proud of the club.
I'm not saying 'We wuz robbed', because the game wasn't like that, but we had two good shouts for Man City 'transgressions' in the penalty area, either or both of which could, on another day, have resulted in penalties. However, I am genuinely proud that we went toe to toe with a team of very expensive (not necessarily very good) players, and gave them all sorts of headaches. Guardiola was very animated, and you could tell that he was worried. So, no points, but a brilliant performance. Let's hope that Danny isn't too badly injured. I wonder if this will accelerate his desire to sign a contract?

That was a cracking game and it shows how far we have progressed under such a superb manager and a group of players who believe in what they are doing. The thing that spoils these games against the so called ‘top six’ is the biased and blatantly unfair refereeing. Mike Dean has no place taking charge of a Premier League match with his level of incompetence and bias towards City. He should be tossed out on his ear. The level of refereeing, in what is held up to be the best league in the world, is atrocious and sometimes borders on being corrupt. It badly needs sorting out.....but it won’t be. I heard on pundit say that City were not at their best? Maybe because we didn’t let them play, and we are not the soft touch the ‘experts’ likes to think we are. ? But feel free to carry on kissing the arse of the ‘big six’ you tiresome plonk head. Well done Saints and on another day that would have earned us a point but PL referees are ****ers and we just ain’t as appealing as the money clubs.
