He's a member of Opus Dei, so he's not stupid at all.

The fact that he lives comfortably by exploiting the thickest people in the UK shows how manipulative he is.

The great economies benefit from migration, whether its the Highlanders moving to Glasgow, Irish coming to the UK, Europeans moving to the Americas, people moving adds a vibrancy to an economy and a society and should be encouraged.

The British dont put their faith in extremists of the right or the left.Neither hitler or lenin but a nice cup of tea and a chat!

 

I watched a programme by Michael Portillo and what it meant to be British.

And Michael basically came to the conclusion that Britain rejects extremeism, we've had far left and far right Governments, we've had ultra RC and Ultra Protestant Governments and monarchs, but the people rejects them every time.

Whether you believe that is up to you, personally, I thought it had a semblance of truth in it.

Michael Portillo would, in my opinion, have made a decent PM

 

He's only become a decent bloke since he lost his seat. Before that he was slightly more rabid than Thatcher. Anyone remember his "we'll fight them on the beaches" speech at the Tory party conference? Absolutely cringeworthy. It seems losing his seat genuinely humbled him.

Plus, he's gay and there was no chance of the Tories electing him leader.
