This one is obviously more serious, it's affecting London.

    Copied from the bbc

The prime minister is expected to announce a tightening of Covid restrictions and a tier four for London and the South East as well as several other counties, cabinet sources have told the BBC.

There is also expected to be a tightening of the plans to relax the rules around households gathering during the Christmas period.

The cabinet was also briefed on the risks from the new variant of the disease by the government’s top medics at lunchtime.

France will not return to "normal" until autumn 2021, a scientific adviser to the country's government has said.

Speaking to French television station BFM, immunologist and government adviser Jean-Francois Delfraissy said: "Vaccines are a major source of hope but if you look at the vaccination capabilities that we will have in France and elsewhere in Europe, we will need time.

London SE and East go to tier 4. Most shops shut, people to stay at home, and they can't leave. Meet 1 person, unless it's communal worship. No foreign travel.

The rest of the country, stay local.

Christmas cancelled. Tier 4 no mixing. Tier 3, up to 3 households on Christmas day only.

So in summary, they need to clamp down on London, and daren't do it without dragging us in too, even though our levels are dropping.

All in all, it doesn't make much difference, and if it means they're happier in January, we should be rid of their conditions soon enough.

Is that advice or law? Parliament's been in recess since the 17th.

Law. The covid regs give the PM the Authority to change it without the need for Parliament.

Question for those who know better than me.... for anyone admitted to hospital with the disease, will the administering of the vaccine in hospital be a cure ( for want of a better word) ...

I know when asked about the virus mutating they said the Astra Zeneca vaccine could be adjusted.

It's not compulsory. You do it if you want to,if you don't want to you don't have to.
