He can’t be. All by Bompey mates said he was the next Gordon Banks. *at the beginning of the season when they were going to finish in the Champions League places...
Got to say, Bournemouth partly made up for some of their dud signings by selling him and bringing Begovic back into the fold.
Another problem with 5 subs, is that teams might start filling their benches with specialists. Get a free kick in a goal-scoring position? Bring on Bloggsy, and then sub him off afterwards. That sort of thing. Very American football.
If you really believe that football should give young players a chance (and I agree with that stance) then the way forward is less subs and smaller squads. That way, teams have to replace injured players in squads with youngsters. As for protecting our players due to our style of play, that’s our choice to play that way at this moment in time and rules shouldn’t be wanted to change to benefit us, but only for making the game fairer or better. I happen to believe we wouldn’t anyway as we have a smaller core of “good” players than the top clubs and they’d get the advantage in the end. If we voted for it, then that doesn’t affect my view. I disagree with our vote.
Ralph rarely uses his full allocation of subs and when he does it's not until near the end. The cons far outweigh the pros of allowing 5 subs.
I was debating whether to pick you up on incorrect usage of "your" a few posts back. Your you're yore...you know the drill. Good game though isn't it?
The final pass has let Palace down, they were definitely asking questions of Liverpool. #grammerpolice
